Thread: new patch and buffing the mind

are dancer buffs bugged or did they change the timers ? i watched my dancer friend for 4 min nothing then for 8 min and got a 2 hour buff? is 8 min the new timer?

an in game friend is experiencing something similar. He is not receiving either mind buffs (dance or music). Although I am pretty sure he did not listen for 8 mins, this might be the new case

Yes, the new patch broke dance buffs. A few of us figured this out during a late night testing session on TC that had us up until 7am est trying to figure out what was going on O.o

Not likely knowing how long it took them to even try and fix the bug of not being able to get music and dance buffed at the same time.
The good news is that any Live Dancer can very easy get around the bug. They only would then run into problems when trying to buff a large group.

That wasn't a bug. It was an intended "non-feature" they introduced in a patch some time last year. I think it was patch 7 or 8.

Absolutely false. Simultaneous dance and music buffs were in the game, working just fine and dandy, until the changes to the buffing code came in with Publish 9 to counter the speed buff exploit and at least one other exploit related to XP gain. The loss of ability to administer both entertainer buffs simultaneously to a patron was a bug that was the result of those code changes.

Some of us this morning were able to get a mind buff in our city cantina but only the ones that started watching the dancer first not the other way around, and none of us can get mind buffs in a camp or remote player structure we have in the graveyard area of tattoine.
