I am a new player and just became Master Dancer. I have talked to alot of people in regards to trying to buff someone. I am trying to make a macro so that I dont have to hit the buttons all the time. I want to be able to talk to people but I cant seem to do that when I have to keeping hitting flourish. Can anyone help me with a macro that I can hit the button once and talk to people around me without having to miss some of the conversation. I do not like or enjoy the fact that people make a macro to not be present while buffing and I think it ruins the game to an extent. So If someone can help out a new person like me that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

This is the macro I use for buffing
/flo 1;
/pause 2;
/flo 2;
/pause 2;
/flo 3;
/pause 2;
/flo 4;
/pause 2;
/ui action toolbarSlotXX; <-- xx is the number of the slot you put it into for your toolbar counting starts from left to right and starts at 00
This macro makes sure that you get enough florishes in for a 2 min buff to be a full 2 hours.

Thank you for the macro. Do I need some special clothing as well. And how long do I have to dance for to give a 2 hour buff?

Sub the /ui action portion of that macro with /macro (name of your macro) so that you do not have to use a tool bar slot for the macro and can instead save it for effects, food buffs or costume changes.

Should I be looking for some other attachments to make the buffs better?

Personally I would not put much effort into finding the attachments. Not one person has ever asked me if I can buff for more than 100%. The live entertainers on my server who do have the full 25% buff outfit are no more in demand than those of us who are only doing 100%. Now that might vary by server but so far I've not seen much evidence to suggest that's the case.
cheers,

I have 4 +1 SEA's and I get no different feedback when I equip them all or when I don't equip any. I got lucky and found them very cheap or I wouldn't have that much.

First of all I would like to thank all the people who responded to this thread. It really helps a new person like me. One last question I would like to ask if I may and that is I did try to use the macro listed above however my action goes down to less than half. Someone told me to equip a sword or something and I have, however it still drops alot. Is there anyway I can get it to not drop so far and so fast as I do want to become a Master Musician as well. Thank you for all the help... Oh by the way I am using the exotic4 dance.
Thank You

Your action goes down because you're flourishing so much. You need to eat or drink some action-enhancing food or drink, like accaragm or thingy thingy swirl. If you're a human, you can get an image designer to migrate your action stats enough so that you'll use hardly any at all (Other races aren't quite as good for this).

Kiwik Clusjo Swirl. +500-600 or so Qui/Stam for 10 minutes, 33-40% filling. Basicly the Canape for Action (just a bit weaker)
Scrimpi +400 to Qui for 45 mins, 33% fill. "Ahrisa for Action" (not really used often)
Accarragm +400 to Action/qui/Stam for 45 mins, 50% fill. "Brandy for Action". its most widely used by entertainers, since you don't really need your drink stomach for anything else, and one sip usually is enough to keep you dancing without breaks.
Since its 18 uses vs 3 on Scrimpi its even a lot cheaper while it does a lot more.
The unenhanced version of Accarragm is around 200-230 for 45 minutes, usually a lot cheaper but you most likely will need two sips (which ususally is still cheaper than 1 sip of BE Accarragm). Either find some Chef vendor, or search the Bazaar for it, if you're lucky you find some there. (I'd not pay more than 2-3k per bottle of non-BE Acc and around 6-8k for BE Accarragm, but this might vary from server to server)
Holding a sword does not help you use less action or more, it doesn't affect action at all. It prefents you from falling down, but if you ask me, it looks very stupid
Also a way to safe action: Use Basic 1 for buffing. The dance does absolutely not matter, and Basic 1 uses about half the Action that Exotic 4 uses. The buff will be the same at the end.

I wrote up a little post in another thread about the basics of buffing and how clothing attachments work that you might find helpful. As far as macros, it is not necessary to use the looping macros mentioned above. You can accomplish the same effect by just copying and pasting to get the 60 flourishes you need in one single macro and then letting it end (with an emote or something to let you know it's done). You could also make a shorter macro with 20 or 30 flourishes and just click on it two or three times (just put a /tell to yourself or some kind of emote to let you know when to restart the macro), and don't forget to maintain enough pauses between flourishes or sets of flourishes (max of 5 flourishes in 8 seconds as I mentioned in my previous post).
If you're interested in dance buff enhancement clothing, you can try asking a friendly tailor about an Exquisite Dancer's Leotard which has a built-in enhancement of +5 Dance Mind Enhancement (and some other enhancements, also you might want to pay a little extra and get the +25 Dance/Music Wound Healing BE upgrade) and is not too difficult to obtain. Otherwise all other enhancements will have to be through skill tapes (except for the random Mind Enhanced clothing/armor loot drop item). In general, though I wouldn't worry about trying to get these tapes. They're overpriced and not really worth it. You're better off just having a nice, varied wardrobe.
