So. I have Entertainment Healing IV and Dancing IV... and I need to surrender some skill points in order to get something else I want.

If I surrender Dancing IV, I lose the Footloose dance, but if I surrender Entertainment Healing IV, I lose the ability to heal people as quickly.

My question is -- if I surrender Dancing IV - do I just lose a dance? i.e. just how it looks? I know you get more dancing XP for using higher dances, but if I have no intention of getting more dancing XP, then it sounds like surrendering Dancing skills are the way to go. Maybe I can surrender all of the dancing skills and just keep Entertainment Healing at IV. Can anyone verify or deny this theory?

Your theory sounds right to me. The only time you'll get into trouble is if you ever decide you want to advance your Ent Heal skills (I believe EH xp is also dance-level dependent). If not, I say go for it.

As long as you never want to move up into novice dancer then the only thing that dance IV is providing is the style of dance. If your main reason for dancing is to be able to heal in camps then entertainment healing is much more important than dance IV. You won't be able to move up into novice dance and therefore gain the higher level healing ability without both dance and entertainment healing IV

Its Formal you'd loose at dancing IV, not Footloose. Not sure that makes any difference too you. The other points are the same and are accurate tho, the dance is just for exp and for entertainment.

actually I believe he was talking about dancing 4 in the entertainment tree not the dancer tree.
