Those of us who rely on tips like to thank our customers for them. With PC conversation, NPC spam, system messages, /tells and every other kind of chat going on at once it would really be nice to have a little beep when a tip comes rolling in. Seems like it would be easy to implement as well.

Yes, please! It's not unusual for me to find out I was tipped and missed it in the spam, which I hate....someone tipped me, and I didn't thank them.

I agree.

I want to take all the system messages out of my chat window, but I am afraid if I do so, I will miss the tip messages.

I have modied it somewhere in the controls that when I get a tip, it shows up in red. I just have to try and remember how I did that so that I can also make it show red when I get a tip via a bank credit.

You can add color-coding to individual words and phrases in your options window (CTRL O). I made both "tips" and "bank credits" bright flourescent pink (the latter to catch those messages when someone tips you from their bank).

Then, split your chat windows. Drag one window over to the side for all your planet, combat and system messages. Thatdivides half the spam out of your real chat window -- then in your Spatial tab, only put Spatial, Group, Instant Messages and any chat groups you joined. So you have your important chat on the left and your game messages on the right. I haven't missed a tip message since.

Its something I'd like to see happen as well and is on my list of things to nag the Devs about.

Changing the color of the word Tip does help tho, has helped me a lot. Only wish you could attach a sound to certain words.

I'll add my vote to this suggestion. I got a tell from a disgruntled customer because I didn't thank him for a tip. Problem was, I never saw it or him for that matter. I work the Mos Eisley Cantina and it can be a mad-house sometimes (I suppose because it is "The Star Wars Cantina"), and I have a hard time keeping up with all the messages that fly by. I have to try chaning my chat color though, see if that helps.

I vote for this too!!! There have been lots of times that chat spam has prevented me from thanking people. It would really be a VERY helpful feature!
