If I surrender Master Dancer, will I loose my Cantina? I'd hate to think it would get deleted, along with everything inside (including 4 vendors from other players) just because I needed to surrender my skills to persure Master Ranger like my holocron told me.

I know that merchants can keep their tents even when they surrender the skill required to place those, but I have no idea when it comes to a cantina/theater/med center.

Anyone know the answer to this?

I was a master doc with a medical center. I asked the same question but could not get an answer. Finally I emptied the medical center and surrendered the skills. It's still there 3 weeks later.

Thank you so much for the responce. That's a good enough answer for me. I'm convinced my Cantina should be safe. Some day I'll master dancer again and I wont have worry about it.

I did find it interesting that a CSR actually warned me that evenually the stucture might check if I still had the skill to own the cantina, if I did not that it might disapear. This does give me a little insight on how much access the CSRs really have to the Devs.

As of right now, I don't think there is any code to remove structures a player is not certified to own, only to pervent them from placing them or having ownership transfered to them. Before they can implement such a system they would probably need to code a warning that surrendering the skill is not recommended.

I was worried about it too, but a couple weeks ago I finally decided to give it a shot and see what happened. I dropped master dancer and my cantina is still there.

FINALLY: This issue solved?

Can i transfer the thing to someone who is not Master Dancer/Cook/Musician?

You used to be able to. I was a Master Dancer when I planted my Cantina.. then I transferred it to my alt who was novice entertainer. However I recently heard of someone else trying to do it and it said they didn't have the skills to receive it or something along those lines. I haven't tried it myself yet as I don't have the lots on my main toon to do so.
