Thread: Is Master Dancer what I want?

Greetings!

So, I enjoy dancing when I'm in a non-crowded cantina and can play with the guests... and I'm slowing working up the dancer tree when I do that.

My question is this... I'm a master entertainer and master musician and I'm working on some combat skills... and of course we have a limited number of points.

So my question is this... is there a significant difference between the dances that a master dancer gets and the dances at dance knowledge IV? WIll it be a significant enough difference that it makes the dances more fun to play with, or is it just one flourish different?

I know I'm asking an opinion here... but combat does matter to me too and each box of dancer that I get is one less of pistol, so it's a trade.

Thanks for your help!

I would say no. It seems the only benifit the Master Dancer title is good for is Buffing the Mind Pool. You get a couple more flourishes that really don't make dancing any better!!! Keep as much gunskills as you can.

If you want to heal wounds and have fun, then Dances IV is all you need. Another two exotics and a third formal for master won't be so much more fun you couldn't be without them. If you want to buff people and do all the dancer stuff like light effects and really fast healing ( no one notices anyway ) then you should go for master. For me it sounds as if Knowledge IV is all you need.

I have not looked at my skill tree in a while... but

Exotic one- arms raised and very choppy movement.

Exotic 2- arms lowered- one of the flourishes is a turn.

Exotic 3- (does like Lyrical 2 does) Takes the turning flourish and adds it to the base dance, is also less choppy than exotic 2.

Exotic 4- like 1 only a lot less choppy.

(yes, we - right now- have very few flourishes)

So. If grace is worth it then go ahead. If not then follow what you want to do and pick up the combat skills. Me- I say it is worth it. But in this sort of situation... hmm. Well, to find out what I REALLY want to do...

I take a standard 6 sided die or normal non-six sided coin, Evens- dancer Odds- combat. (or heads and tails respectively.)

Flip it.

What's it land on?

If it landed on pistol and I thought "Um..... odds was dancer... >.>" even if it wasn't then I know I really wanted dancer hehehe.

LOL. I love it. Well, grace does matter... but so does combat. Such a hard decision because I really love being high on the musician tree as well.

Thanks for the feedback!

Arguably, four of the five best flourishes for dancers are Master level only. And they are even more amazing when done with /bandflourish'es in a group of 3 or more master dancers.

I'm sure any master dancer on your server would be happy to show you them.

I find it hard to imagine reaching master entertainer and master musician without knowing them intimately but I haven't been in the crowded cantina's much lately either. I guess neither have any of the other master dancers

Good luck whatever you decide.. if dancing is in your heart you probably want master dancer.

do you think if they add more dances they will be for master Dancer only? I have my fingers crossed that they will add brake danceing And i'm not sure if I will have enough skill points to master dancer .Does the battle fatiguehealing effect any of the mind buffs?

OK... so I got to the top of the knowledge tree and I've decided I'm going to keep going and check out the master dances myself (I can always drop later if I don't like them).

Mostly this came from really not liking exotic (Though exotic2 seems okay)
