Just wondering if there is a good way to get entertainer healing xp cause as it stands i only get 5-10 every 10 min or so, i am also in a group of 20, and have +18, +14, +15 wound healing clothes for dancer.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Be sure you are doing your highest dance and you are doing flourishes. Other than that or being bugged, I don't know why you would not gain xp. Hope it works out!

A couple of things here:

There are two types of XP -- Knowledge XP (aka. Dance XP) which lets you learn new dances and techniques, and healing XP, which lets you learn faster healing skills. These are different.

Knoweldge Experience comes from dancing. Every time you flourish, you get XP for it. There is a "timer" that passes out xp to you as you dance. Every 12 seconds or so is a "tick" of the timer. If you flourish during that 12 seconds, you get "max XP for that dance." If you don't flourish, you get whatever XP you got last tick, minus 1. This is important. Let me provide an example. You have only Basic 1 or Rhythmic 1. If you flourish, on that tick you get, let's say, 5 xp (when not grouped with others). If you then just "base dance" and do not flourish, then the next tick (roughly 12 seconds later) you will get 5 - 1 = 4 xp. If you continue to not flourish, next tick you will get 3, then 2, ... etc. So if you want to maximize your knoweldge/dance XP gain, then you must flourish constantly. Note that, unlike musicians, dancers cannot "stack" flourishes. So you can't punch flourish a couple of times and sit back. Instead, you have to punch your second flourish just as the first one is ending -- which means you have to either watch carefully the whole time, or else time it out and write a macro for it. Tiaga, the Entertainer Correspondent, has written extensively on how to do this in the Entertainer forum so I will not elaborate here. You can find it on that forum if you are interested. Knowledge XP is increased by (1) doing higher and higher dances, and (2) joining groups. So for instance, a single Exotic2 flourish is worth something like 60 xp solo, while a single Poplock (1) flourish is worth maybe 25 xp solo. If you have a full group of 20 dancers flourishing away, you will get a lot more than this.

Healing experience can only come when someone who has battle fatigue or Mind Wounds watches you or your group. This means using the /watch command -- not just the player looking at your toon on his computer screen. Healing experience is based on the number of wound or fatigue points healed and is in no way, shape, or form, related to either the dance you are doing or the healing skill level you have, nor even the group size. Those things will affect how quickly you heal him, which may make it seem like it is more xp (because you heal larger lumps of it at once), but assuming he watches you the whole time until wounds and BF reach 0, the total amount of XP you get for that wounded player will not vary with skill level or dance. Tiaga has done some tests and my experience concurs that the experience gained is (roughly) 1 xp per mind, focus, and willpower wound point healed, and 2 xp per BF healed. So, for example, if you are a novice entertainer only and a guy comes in with 25 mind wounds and 50 BF, you will heal roughly 2 BF and mind wounds a "tick" (more or less), which means it'd take 25 "ticks" (or because there are about 5 ticks a minute, 5 minutes). Over that 5 minutes, you will get 25 xp for the mind wounds and 100 xp for the BF, or, approximately 125 xp. If you had dance healing up to Enthraller and Captivater, i.e. maximum dance healing ability, you could probably heal 25 wounds and BF per tick, so it'd take two ticks and the guy would be healed. This would give you the same 125 xp for the same guy, but you'd get it in half a minute instead of 5 minutes, because you healed it faster. This speed seems to be somewhat affected by (1) level of the dance (i.e. exotic heals faster than basic), and (2) flourishing (i.e. doing it seems to make it go faster than not doing it), but this is not unconfirmed.

Because healing really is based on a unit of customers rather than time (I've rarely seen a customer who started the healing process stop watching one person and watch another, so when they start, you get all their XP worth, no matter how long it takes, in general), the dance you do and even your skill level will not affect your xp gain.

They might affect your tips, of course. People seem to like watching the "higher" dances such as popular2 and exotic, and they also like rapid healing, so they might tip you more. But in terms of sheer experience, since you are going to have to count customers (and their wounds) not minutes, there's no "good way" to get entertainer xp. You just have to dance and wait for people to watch and heal you. The more you can find ways to get them to do this (e.g. advertising your presense with /registerWithLocation, or greeting people when they come in so they notice you, or working with larger groups so you all, as a unit, are more noticed) the faster it will go.

Note that groups also do not increase the experience return per cusomter or per wound. All they do is what higher healing skill does -- speed it up.

The increased speed makes it look like more xp, but it's an illusion. If you get into a group and heal 125 xp worth of BF and wounds in 1 tick, you get 125 XP. It looks like more than the 5 xp you might get on a single tick by yourself, but that's illusory. The group would heal it all in 1 tick and the guy walks out. It's still only 125 xp, which you would get solo in a longer time period, for the same customer's same wound level.
