It's probably an oversight on the devs part - don't draw any unwanted attention to what may be our last sanctuaries!

I'd prefer hotels.... heck, maybe I will try and get the group of roleplayers I met in theed to go to the hotel, then if anyone wants buffs from us they gotta come there! ha! That's a good idea >.>

Does anyone actually use the hotels? I didn't even know they added slot machines and roulette wheels back in Spetember since I hadn't been in one since July. I have to say that hotels offer more potential for socializing than cantinas (non-player owned) since there really isn't anything in a cantina that makes it a cantina, and I find it sad that no one uses them more. I've been to every hotel on Starsider and have never found anyone else in there. I hope they look at expanding gambling in the hotels to get more people interested in using them. Adding blackjack, allowing players to host poker matches at specified tables, sportsbetting on swoopraces/combat tournaments, etc.

As for your question, I'm not sure if they are immune. I assume since they only mentioned cantinas that the Imperials will not be cracking down on hotels, nor theaters.
