Thread: This is a insult to all male dancers!!!!!
If you go to Nym's missions on Lok you get a carbine. Useless to you unless you have the skills to use it...
Number 1. The new jabba missions give profession specific rewards, so the guy is right. Thats absolutely stupid of the devs, they obviously didnt think about male dancers.
Number 2. The Nyms carbine has no certification, anyone can use it and not get the "Damage with this weapon will be greatly reduced because blah blah blah" It works for everyone, making it in fact, a killer gun to grind marksman with.
I agree. While I don't mind our dances, I despise the fact all the really nice clothes are female-only, and maybe that's just me cause I don't mind the dresses and such, and would like to see a fleshwrap and leotard for guys.
But it is outrageous that this is geared to US, Entertainers, and the male population of the profession can't even wear it.
Ravenmist, if you see this, could you like, mention this in passing to Thunderheart, you know, after he decides to look at us out of the corner of his eye and throw us a big pile of dung?
It's the principle of the thing. We all know the item isn't that fantastic, but the fact that they made it a female-only article of clothing indicates that they simply don't think about the male dancers. The limited clothing choices for male dancers also supports this theory. If we don't try to make them think otherwise, then someday they might add a really nice item for dancers...and it'll be female only.
Regardless, it's just uncool to go through the effort of Jabba's Palace and end up with a nice prize that you cannot wear simply because of your sex.
You should have gotten both. I believe the schematic for the leotard comes from Bib Fortuna, while the schematic for the FWG5 comes from Jabba's protocol droid (it's the last reward for the final quest).
I got both yesterday.
On the other hand, I will never be able to wear this new dancer's leotard without rerolling my character as a female. But I don't want to play a female, I want to play a male. So I can't use this ever. So it's no comparison to something needing a certification.
