Dancer Archive

This is a common, almost weekly, complaint on the tailor forums. I'm pretty sure they've gotten the message to the devs about it. Hopefully they'll add it.

There are a lot of things NPC's have that we want. Tailors and image designers in particular.

That skirt is one.

Nightsister clothing is another. I want The nightsister clothing and Singing Mountain Clan clothing so bad that I can taste it. I don't care if it can only be worn or something, I want the visual effect. My guild leader keeps calling me a 'purple priestess' and I can HARDLY be that if I can't look it, yeah? ::giggles:: There are hairsyles and such that the ID's have wanted for a while now too.

I figure we'll get it eventually- if an NPC has it then it has been implemented in the game they just need to make it lootable/craftable. You know?

We tailors want it really really really a lot. It's preciousss.

First, I'm not about to base any decision like that upon something like a skirt. Second, I'm not any more important than anyone here nor those who have already left to pursue other careers or games. I'm not some kind of martyr, you know. Third, no offense to those who want the skirt, but my personal selfish preference would be to see more male oriented options for sexy clothing before they add more female options. We've been pretty shafted thus far.

But that doesn't stop me from getting behind any issue that would make dancers happy, nor of rejoicing if this skirt does make it into the game. It's safe to say I want to see you all wearing it probably as much as you want to wear it.

My argument for the skirt is this: it's already there, the art already exists, so it's a simple matter of getting a schematic. Same with the noob scout vest. Same with hooded cloaks. I at least am lobbying vigorously for items that already exist in the game simply because I believe it's more likely to get these items (they take less work) before coming up with brand-new schematics. Having said that, however, we got new art with the chef patch, but no already-existing items. Ah well.

Yes, males need more clothes! I'm actually doing a project on male clothing for swgtailor, but it's been derailed due to the new schematics coming out (and me updating that list like a mad banshee).

You are very true there Javy. If Dancers are the the forgotten profession, the male Dancer seems to be an invisbleclass there in

Is it possible to get the skirt as a drop, or quest item?

I know there are some clothing types that aren't available to tailors that drop.

I heard about the skirt dropping at the very very beginning of the game, but I think many of the high level loot drops disappeared after a bit, due to tailors complaining that high-level tailored items were being dropped and cutting our business (especially when those items came in colors we couldn't make due to a bug - red anyone?) But don't blame us - we want the skirt. Really!
