No, this one's well known. On Ahazi, one of the more pathetic sights is seeing an AFK dancer right there with their very own AFK /cheerer.

It's just... bad.

My other character ran into this for the first time on Radient several weeks ago! Even beforeSkye entered the Coronet cantina she was getting spammed with incessent"Rah-Rah cheers for Macro-Dancer-of-the-Moment" nonsense. When she went inside - both parties were AFK . . . . . what IS this game coming to?

Slightly off-topic: in the month and a half that I've played my other character, Skye Walker, Icouldprobably count the number of live entertainers I've come acrosson one hand. The main room is deserted and you can't walk through the front door without runningsmack into a horde of sweating, spamming bodies begging for heals, tips and attention. Both of us have become very discouraged.

Are you kidding?!? This is a post to get the fools like myself to appear gullible, right?

I've been a Dancer for a VERY long time, and I've never heard of this rumor at all. Of course, the Entertainer population of Lowca is extremely low, so this would't surprise me.

I have never heard this either, but I am a bit new to the profession To me it just seemed that my dancing xp was going up and down all the time when I was leveling. I would have a hard time seeing if a cheer actually did anything, but who knows

This is very much true. I increases the xp you get for your flourishes.

Yes, I believe it even says something about clapping and cheering in the manual in the entertainer section. I think I was aware of it from day one. In any case when I was a newbie ent. I noticed when I was leveling that anytime I got a /clap or /cheer, it would bump up my dance XP by a little bit - like by one point. Whenever I noticed it it was a small bump though. It may have gotten larger as a was a higher level and just didn't realize that that's what it was.

It's true. At least, it worked for me tonight. I couldn't believe it. I was dancing in the Theed cantina on Bria, and someone in there said "Hey, I heard that you get more xp if we cheer and clap for you." I said "I think that's just a rumor, but let's try it." I was getting a consistent 70 xp per flourish with a group of maybe 9 people. He started cheering and clapping for me, and it went up to almost 100. O.o

But let's keep this on the downlow... the last thing we need is MORE spam in the cantinas. *sigh*

I've already seen that spam in the Theed cantina - people saying "Please clap for me!" as part of their annoying "Heal, Watch/Listen, Tip Me" spam . .. . .

I'd heard about it for AGES... but I always thought it was a bunch of malarkey. I'm still going to tell people it's a lie, because... well, it's really, REALLY annoying.

I'll help you. I've been witness to /cheer spam every 3 seconds, and I can't tell you...well, you know...it's incredibly irritating. It's also completely unnecessary. It's my understanding that this helps with dancing, not healing. Is that a correct assessment? These days, you get the dancing capped before you even get one box of healing, LOL.

Yeah, it's only with the dance experience... unfortunately. If it helped with healing xp, I'd set up my other account to constantly cheer for myself, and then reroll once I made master (since no one would be able to hear her by then, as everyone on the server would have put her on ignore).

I haven't actually tested with healing XP, but I would tend to think cheering doesn't increase it. It can be hard to tell with healing though, since it's difficult toestablish a constant XP rate... it seems to fluctuate a lot.I'll look into that on TC if I get a chance.
