I already know everyone is going to name their own server, and you'll probably get about 20 votes for Bria. LOL. But, I'm still trying to recruit people to Kettemoor, it's a wonderful server, and more entertainer supportive than most!

Edited to add: Case in point...

Right now there are about 50 people in the Theed Cantina. Yes, many are afk. But, not even *one* person is afk spamming. And there are 3 live Master Dancers there right now, no buffbots. This is what happens when people are not driven out...we're there, and we're available for buffing.

I heart Kettemoor, it's such a breath of fresh air sometimes.

True enough about everyone naming their own server... but then again, I can really only comment on the server I'm on. I don't have first-hand knowledge of the environments present on servers where I don't play.

I'm not going to say that Ahazi doesn't have a buffbot or AFK problem. Of course all servers are likely to be in a similar bind (save perhaps TC). So, here's what I can comment on.

Ahazi has two known entertainer guilds, the famousFATWOOKIE band and my own LIVE Entertainment, both of which would make good homes for entertainers who care. Yes, buffbots abound. But yes also, LIVE Entertainment has lately been moving to take back the Theed cantina... slowly but surely, and still hold on to the dreams of one day making planned theatre performances an attractive part of the roleplaying culture - which is backed by the Ahaziroleplaying community. Even while we wait to see how much of an affect publish 10 will have on the overall entertainment environment, at the very least these two guilds would provide safe haven for entertainers to have fun...at the very leastjust amongst ourselves. As an additional note, I have personally had no shortage whatsoever of hardline combat players cheering on my work to provide and preserve the art of ATK entertainment. Yes, we have our share of the rude kids who could give a womprat's hindquarters about the plight of the entertainer, but we also have a lot of those who really appreciate us - and that's all we really need.

Another option would be to come over to TC to play and test. As a place to come and take a break on, it can be very refreshing. There is a much smaller playerbase, and from what I've seen the vast majority of players there have a much higher... maturity level, shall we call it?.. than on the live servers. The environment there is a whole different animal than on the live servers, and it is still a lot of fun. Don't expect to make much money though... and entertainer healing XP is pretty hard to come by. Still, as an option for just taking a breather from the live server entertainment hell, it's a pretty good option.

True enough, people will only comment on the servers that they are familiar with. However, that's not always a good thing.

I, for instance, am from Lowca. And I do NOT recommend going there. For one thing, the entertainer population on Lowca was very low to begin with. We took the buffbot situation hard and the majority of entertainers just left the profession. The cantinas are filled with spam, and buffbots abound.

I just recently did create a toon on Bria. I have no idea what the situation as a whole is there. What I do know is that there are a small group of live entertainers which (against their better judgement I'm sure ) decided to take me in and make me feel welcome. In the two weeks I've been there I've been happy. I'm still wondering whether I should move my flag there or not, we'll have to see.

Good luck Oh-Orb!

Ok, the deal about Bria.

Bria is (I think) one of the most populated servers. That's why they keep copying it as a test server. The civil war is fairly active, from all reports. We have the regular mix of good and bad PAs.

We also have the same bevy of issues here that all servers have. Coronet and Theed are generally packed with AFKers, some standing right in front of the door. We have a collection of buffbots just like everyone else, so moving to Bria isn't a solution for that.

We do, however, have is a fairly active entertainer community that tends to stick together, communicates on a dedicated channel, and tries to collect and have fun. We do hold the regular cantina crawls, and we also have other events, sometimes spur of the moment, sometimes planned. So, even though the AFK/buffbot phenomenon is alive and well on Bria, I don't ever feel alone or unappreciated, and I don't have to look very far to find a good place to dance where other live entertainers are around me.

I would love to see ONE server become a live entertainer's paradise. If all live entertainers moved to a single server, we'd have a lot of fun people to party with nightly. Alas, most people are tied to their characters, wherever they may be, so it's a lot to ask. All we can do is provide a safe and comfortable haven for folks who are getting bummed about their own server and hope that Bria may become that paradise at some point.

Yes, Bria is one of the most heavily populated servers out there. We are not a paradise any more than any other server. We have our problems and entertainers fall into the "Get a REAL job!" category as far as many other players are concerned here as anywhere.

However, since we can't get the help we need from the devs anytime soon, we believe in creating our own content. If we invade6 player cantinas on a Cantina Crawl and no one shows up in 4 ot them to watch and listen to us, we don't care. We enjoy being together and having fun. You can do that on any server providing there is an entertainer player base to work with. It might take some work to get it going and keep it going, but it's well worth the effort. After Shianse and Javier left, most of us were numb from shock and sorrow. We didn't do much for a few weeks, but the need to gather together had already been firmly rooted and we created our own unofficial Cantina Crawls and entertainerevents. (We are fortunate that we have Javy back with us.)

I have characters on two other servers, Kauri and Radiant, and neither one of them are in entertainment any more because oflack of community. I've found more than just "toons" on Bria. I have found good "friends" that reach beyond the keyboard.

Well I'm taking a little spin on Bria here if not to go there at least for the Cantina Crawls...

Shocking, I know.

It's a real sad state of affairs on Kauri. I try to organize a band and .. no one can make the meeting.
