Thread: Entertainer Foods. Would You Use Them?

I've recently mastered chef. But to do things differently, I'm not stocking my vendors with mind foods. What I have been doing is educating some entertainers on my server (ahazi) about action buff foods. I hand out samples of Accarragm and Scrimpi to any ATK entertainers I see.

The problem is, and this has been pointed out many times before, is that entertainer classes aren't nearly as credit solvent as some of the other classes. Would you spend your credits to use such products? I've found that even just modest non-bio-enhanced Action foods make a substantial difference in action burn. Would you use them for your buffing session runs? Here's some ballpark figures for the Accarragm and Scrimpi

Accarragm

+208 action/stamina/quickness for 39 min, 50 fill (drink 2 shots)

Scrimpi

+196 quickness for 37min, 33 fill (eat a whole one, 3 bites)

Why make this stuff? I used to be master dancer, and would have loved to have known about this stuff. I just want to make stuff for a set of classes that normally get neglected. Sure, you could easily go sit in line for an quickness buff, but a lot of doctors insist on a full set of buffs so they have even numbers of buff packs. With these foods, you don't need to search for a doctor for you to start your buff sessions!

/feedback is appreciated!

In the cantina I frequent, the entertainers are completely addicted to accarragm. They're all hopped up. I'm just glad it's not a high calorie drink or they wouldn't fit into their hawtpants any more.

So yah, that stuff sells, if the entertainer can afford it.

I use them. On my server I've been trying to buy different foods and drinks by the crate when I can afford it to stock them on my vendor in the hopes that it makes it a bit easier to find. And I always carry Accarragm around with me.

What would be the cost?

Example: Many docs charge 2k for a quickness only buff. It lasts about 3 hours. Which would be roughly 6servings of food, 12 if you had to double upin order for it be effective.

i would be very interested in buying it Ditah, and i salute you in your cause to carry mroe than just the pvp staples!

<3 Ditah

i do 2 types of buff sessions, the standard 10-12 minute one, if the customer is inclined to chat, or the 3:40 one for those in a hurry or for pvp prep.

even with the super fast action use, i did not drop below half (and i start with minimum on all action stats) after taking these foods

super!!!!!

I use accaragm all the time. And, in fact, I do tend to use the "lower quality" that you have mentioned here. It's cheaper and works quite well for just dancing. I don't need +400 accaragm. It's good to know that you're providing this. I wish there some more available on Kettemoor. Most of the crates of accaragm that I find are very expensive so I don't usually buy 200k credits worth of accaragm. I have to keep asking around to see if someone has some on hand that I could purchase.

So, yes, +200 accaragm in smaller quantities to buy...that is exactly what I'm looking for, and wish there was more.

Man, I should check out the other forums more often. I just became a master chef 2 weeks ago and I'd love to make other types of food for people besides brandy.

I'll have to whip up some of this Entertainer food and cruise down to the local cantina.

BTW, my name's Yorn and I'm on the Corbantis. I live on Dantooine near the Mining Outpost, so keep and eye out for me....

I would buy these...I bought +200 before my stat shift and it didn't prevent action burn when buffing, but the +400 worked beautifully. After my stat shift (to get my quickness over 800) ...the +200 seem to work fine.

So if I were you i'd stock both types--dedicated entertainers will probably buy +200 if its cheap--but part time dancers/musicians might be less likely to be stat shifted to need the +400 and be more likely to afford the extra cost. More docs these days aren't willing to "break up sets" of buffs b/c people want matched buffs... so i think using the food is going to get more popular as docs get more resistant to buffing just the odd stat..

For doing a full-blown-flat-out-flo-as-often-as-you-can mind buff you normally need a double sho. . . err . . double drinkie-pooh of Accarragm. But the minimum grade should be about +300. I broke down whatI pay per drink (guild prices) andits right around 300 credits per, so double that and its 600 credits for about 30 minutes of buff time. Who says dancers's dont have overhead.

And Javy, I don't have a drinking problem. . .except when I can't get a drink.

I would, and I use some already for help when I'm doing dancer mind buffs.

I give a lot of accarragm to my friends..if I'm going down that dark path, I'm dragging them down with me. Our latest batch is around +440 for 38 min, 18 uses and 50 fill. While I do give about 80% of it away to entertainers I know, it sells on my vendor for 120k a crate or 4800 for a 18 use stack. I don't sell much of it but profit is not my intention with the accarragm.

I use accarragm all the time when I'm mind buffing, and I just charge a bit more for my speed buffs to make back the cost of the drink (costs about 6K for 18 hits on valcyn). I've never heard of scrimpi though, I'll have to try it

Well, I no longer use accarragm . . . alcohol isn't good for the baby, you know. Our resident chef did just put in some "non-alcoholic" accarragm in our cantina vendor, but I haven't given it a try yet. Oh the other hand, I can buff now (0240 heading for 0340) and expect that entertainer buffs will be my most requested sets!
