Thread: Technical questsions on Dancer Clothing Attachments
My feeling on CAs is this. A +25 one gives you (at last check on the boards here) something like an 8 minute increase to buff time. That means your 3:05 buff will become 3:13. That is not much of an increase... Is a crafter really going to want that extra 8 min enough to pay a lot more for it? I doubt it. So if you have one go ahead and use it. Or if you can find one for a cheap price (what is "cheap" depends on your bank account, heheh), get it. But these nutjobs who charge like 50k per +1 and still try to charge 1.25 mil or something for a +25 CA... well unless you have billions of credits, it is just not worth it.

One of my good friends in the game is a Chef. She tried crafting a one-off T'sollok to test if it makes any difference. The description on T'sollok (when you examine it) is now quite explicit that it is the *VIEWER*, not the performer, that is supposed to drink it before receiving an inspiration buff. However, it made no difference when she tested it watching me. She still got a 3:31 buff. As I was the only entertainer present, we couldn't test to see if the 3:31 is a hard cap and the drink would be effective if watching a lower-level entertainer. (She said she made it with an additive and very high-quality resources, so it was about as good a T'sollok as could be reasonably made, too.)
Regardless, as already pointed out, a few minutes difference in duration isn't going to make crafters come to you over another performer. So outside of personal pride, there is no way spending money on these tapes is worth it. And it is probably cheaper to find some pre-CU BE clothing anyway.
Pre-CU I had +25 for both dance and music mind enhancement, and it was useful. I collected a lot of it well before the holo-grind and then buffbots became popular, so I didn't pay exhorbitant amounts of money for it. A bunch of it I got for free, in fact, as people who came to me regularly for buffs would sometimes just give me the tapes when they had looted them. And I never AFK buffbotted. But what was a very valuable set of clothes pre-CU is now completely worthless post-CU. I guess I shouldn't be that mad, though -- many people of all professions lost huge amounts of money when the CU came out.
I think the main difference in 3 hour vs. 3.5 hour buffs is more the 'spillover' effect you get from being both a master dancer and master musician than it is from having a staight-up bonus to your enhancement skill levels. I have quad-master entertainers on several servers (for participating in entertainer events on other servers), but only have tapes/pre-CU BE clothing on Eclipse. I still give something like a 3 hour 20-something buff for both dance and music on the other servers. If it was just skill level alone, then I would expect to see a slight difference between dance and music as the Twi species bonus gives +10 more to dance than it does to music. Granted, I haven't systematically tested this, but my casual observation is my buff durations are the same for dance and music.
this should be looked at, a 25/25 entertainer should certainly give longer bonuses given the mods. while caps should be inplace, they should be higher.
I am a master dancer.
I have clothing enhancements that are +25 for healing and +5 for enhancement.
It makes no difference in my buffs if I wear the clothing with enhancement tapes or clothing without enhancement tapes, I buff at the same rate (3:10). However, I do give a slightly lower rate if I wear full armor (2:58ish)
I have noticed that double master (music and dancing) Twilek'sare doing a3:30 buff, but I am not sure if its the double master, being a Twilek or a combination of both as to why they give the 3:30 buff.
As far as I can tell all the dancer related tapes do not work.
I have dancing enhancement attachments and they make no difference either to speed of application or duration of the buff at Master level
Whether they do at lower levels, I don't know.
At Master Dancer level I can only buff for 3hours.

Those which converted from Wound Healing (clothes as well) do work. In testing shortly after the CU release, We found that the racial bonus for Twileks (tested with Panthu and Tiaga did some tests on his own I believe) and the FS bonus (which was also originally Wound Healing) do work. However, there may be a cap. With a Master of Dance, Musician and Entertainer and the 4 Heightened Senses Healing FS boxes on a Zabrak and wearing enhanced clothing of +25 (the clothing were all items that I had used pre-CU) the max duration I ever reached was 3:26:30. Without the FS boxes (which I've since dropped) and the clothes, my Inspirations still reach the same max duration (3:26:30).
So to summarize: Bonuses that were originally Wound Healing work, those which were originally Mind Enhancement do not. Dependent upon what bonuses you can stack, it may be capped at about 3 and half hours (awaiting confirmation of cap).

As Fragpuppie explains in this thread on the Musician forum; CA converted from Mind Enhancement to Music and Dance Enhancement do not appear to be working. I have reported this in the correspondent bug list.

I think 3:26 (for some odd reason, and I wonder why they chose it) is a hard cap. Dejah's capped at that too.

I can confirm that I get a whole amazing 5 more seconds (3"31') with the jabba leotard (it must be that plus 5 to wound healing, since mind enhancement clothes appear to be broken *cough* working as intended for now)
