Hello!

I was gonna post out a long response, but it reminded me of another post in the Entertainer forum:

Check it out and then let us know what you think. It is always interesting to see what non-ents think we want to do vs. what we do want to do. Not that this is bad, but I think it's good to see all sides.

Oh..and BTW...every person I know who would be interested in hanging in a cantina doesn't like spam nor would be looking there. You could try the ENT channel on your server. You should find that information right here, which is in the stickies. However, I HIGHLY encourage you to NOT spam the Ent channel. They'll bounce you right on out. Get on the channel and maybe chat with the ents. They can give you more of an opinion of what they like/dislike on your server, which might be different from what you read here on the boards.

Heck, you might find ents who might be up for helping with your venture.

Ok i set my very first cantina down and decorated it fairly well on Farstar server, now i am thinking of ways to get regular customers to it, one way would be to invite chef to place vendor there to get regular flow of customers, but i would like to use entertainers as attraction for my cantina. Many crafters complain for the lack of buffers when they need em so i would like to provide constant (well at least at peak hours) live entertainers at my cantina so people would get buffed.

Problem is to get those entertainers and advertise. So i am asking if anyone have done or know good tips for getting customers and entertainers around. I have some ideas but its better to have brainstorm than think em yourself

I have been keeping advetising macro on planet and auction channels when i am at my cantina but yet the flow of people has been local and buffing minimal.
I know that location is also key to success but now days traveling from planet to other is not that much of an efford.
Place is located on Talus at town of Two Rivers and is right from shuttle, you cant miss it. Take a look if you have char on farstar, always happy to get feedback from decorations, good or bad.

So let the ideas flow

I dont quite see where s/he said s/hewas spamming...

I myself have a macro set up to adverties mysllf and my servers Ent chat in /auction and /planet.. I dont see anything wrong with spamming those chats, as that is what I feel they are for.

Third paragraph.

There's nothing wrong with it...but so many people tune out spam, regardless of where it is. I was just offering hints to check other places. Like...finding Entertainers in the /ENT channel on the server. And recommending that the poster *not* spam there.

ah yes, the spam. Well only place i do it like i said is Planet and auction channel and the pause between messages is long so it wont fill whole chat channel. As for contrast, i dont spam in spatial nor do it anywhere else than thos two channels, if i go to cantinas like Eisley worst spammers quickly find their way to my ignore list.

Thanks for the links Gothywench, but as i remembered right there is no Ent chat channel on Farstar, yet, as i will be making it this weekend my self.

First link was excellent provider of info how to do and how not to do, base of my carreer has been live entertainment and for that i will be monitoring my cantina so that possible entertainers that come will be live ones. Sounds harsh? Well i want to make sure that when there is entertainers and customers come to seek buffing they will get one.
At the moment during evenings there is always locals at cantina chatting away so it wont be that boring around unless entertainers are not that social as locals usually are interest of strangers in Two Rivers

All in all the plan is starting to take a form and starting that ent channel surely will be good way to give info to entertainers and crafters alike to find ATK people.

Attempting to do the same on my server Eclipse, coupled with the buffs, etc. we are hoping those will draw people in enough since we dont have a shuttleport yet to show them what we can do performance wise hehe. Evil master plan at work on Eclipse. ^_^

today i started Farstars ent chat channel so i am trying to get me some name by arranging stuff around on the chat like working to get people together and go crash a cantina with style.

And good luck to you Fae'dra, decorade your cantina warmly so that people love to be around worked wonders for my place when compared to cantina that was here before it, basicly now i always have people around, just love it oh and yes shuttle helps a bit
