Ok here is the question of the day - I tried to buff a group today and only 1 person got buff - can a dancer buff a group solo or do they need to have a musician with them from now on?

I suppose the fix hasn't been pushed to live yet?

Anyway, it's just a temporary bug. Passive buffs should work with only one profession. Devs are looking into it....

The fix was supposed to be put in Live today.

Just like it was supposed to go in yesterday.

It still doesn't work right, from all accounts. Only one person gets the passive buffs, from the sounds of it.

Test Center people swear up and down that it works 100% fine on Test Center, they can passively buff entire groups of players.

I'm failing to see why this continues to perpetuate, what the hell is the problem with getting the fix in, that's all I'd like to know. It works on TC - you put TC code on Live - apparently not, as Live is still broken in regards to passive Dancer buffs.

I understood when they said yesterday that it'd be another day (though no explanantion was given, it should've been in yesterday as TC reports it working fine - just "sorry it'll be in tomorrow" - which I found pretty insulting). Now today comes and things still don't work right.

My patience is wearing thin on this. We won't see this fixed until next Monday at the latest, I suspect. And that's very, very sad to me, given that buffing is one of the key skills of a Dancer. And given that an apparent flawless TC can have passive buffs all they like, yet no one can seem to get this to happen on Live.

The bottom line is - these Publishes need to be getting BETTER in quality, NOT WORSE. I'm tired of significant things breaking with every Publish. I'm tired of Publish day coming, and the first thought is "I wonder what breaks when this new stuff hits." Because something rather important ALWAYS does lately.

These Publish Day disasters are NOT helping instill confidence regarding the Combat Upgrade. I'm already hearing hesitant mentions of what a nightmare the CU will be, and already I'm hearing folks say that the CU will flop and destroy the game. Quality of publishes has GOT to become number 1 priority, I've seen some friends who've played awhile getting very impatient, and only due to the last few Publishes. They are nothing but fearful of what hell an overhaul of Combat will bring - this is not the mindset the game community should be in, they should be anxiously awaiting some great improvements, not fearing and dreading what hellacious garbage the CU brings, and worrying about everything breaking.

I agree with you that it probably wont get fixed now until Monday - since they have already applied a patch this morning (that didn't) work and they don't typically patch over the weekend.

I am a software configuration manager and I know that sometimes you can have variances on servers which effect installs from one server to another... things that might show up would be rubberbanding - but the thing with dancers doesn't make any sense on why it would work on one server and not the other. To me it seems there - a patch didn't get installed properly to the live servers.
