Fixed a problem with the Dancer Mind buff

don't buy it, stilll broken....course, there could have been a different problem that we didn't know about that they fixed.

I ran my normal entertainer script, grouped with my entertainer, listened, got the music buff, then watched and didn't get the dance buff. Tried it a few times. Now, for those of you who test it, /setp should not matter, your entertainer should not even need to be looking at you to confer the buff, that would obviate the usefullness of group buffs.

Uh, it was working last night on TC. I buffed 4 people with a group buff and one active buff before I logged. I couldn't test with a Musician when I left, but I think Tiaga was looking into that.

then it didn't make it to live. When Ahazi came up today I tried it and no buff was conferred.

Passive Dance Buffs ARE NOT WORKING. There was no change that I could see. As stated in this post maybe there was something else broke but Passive DANCE buffs do not work.

Once again, they seem to have forgotten to include the code into the download but have put it on the update notes, still. No wonder so many peoplewonder about thedevs'competence. Sloppy, sloppy, devs!

ahhh, that explains it! Attempted a passive buff Tuesday night, didnt work, tried twice and the client left in discust. Thought I had done something wrong!

Passive dance wasnt working on scylla this morning either. I got in just long enough to have 6 min of testing time before they rebooted the server so, we'll see what happens when it comes back up.

What i did learn:

prior to the hotfix, the timers weren't wrapping around for either music or dance in many cases. i.e. ifthe entstopped for any reason (dance or music) you did not get any buff until you had watched or listened the fullamount of timeagain without the ent stopping.

This was fixed for music! so at least they might be onto something.

I tested this morning with 2 customers, my dancer and my musician. The leader got both buffs with no problem, the second group member got music but no dance. The second customer did not get any messages about having to watch for 2 min to get a buff so perhaps the wraparound timers have been fixed for dance as well and there's something else going on with passives.

Hmm... It seems that now that the servers have been reboot that passive dancer buffs are still not working *and* the trick from yesterday of switching to music and having the person start listening before they stop watching is also not working anymore. I think that the /setperf right before the person stops watching trick is working though.

lol and so what chance has a combat balance got, if the Dancer buffs are borked two days in a row?

was this the patch that should never have happened?

Just a note that a live dancer can help you just fine and the majority of live buffers are aware of and actively helping to seek work arounds.
