Right now:
It takes about 3:10 to 3:20 minutes to buff you, if the dancer/musician does 5 flourishes each 10 seconds.
It takes about 8 minutes if its 1 flourish every 10 seconds.
You have to watch a dancer for a minimum of 2 minutes however, to receive any buff at all. (it doesn't add to the 3 minutes, but is included there). If you stopwatch before the 2 mins are up (like 1 minute 59 secs) you get no buff at all, if you /stopwatch at 2 minutes 1 second, you get a buff that lasts around 1h 20 mins or so (approximately).
Planned (TC-patch, NOT on live servers):
Reduction of that minimum time to 1 minute.
Reduction of the time required for the full buff by 50%. So you'll need around 1:30 minutes for a full buff.

Wow, 1:30 for a full buff on Test now?! Was wondering whether that would change along with the minemum time to watch to get a botched buff. At least it's keeping in scale, anyway.
(Yeah,currently 2:00 to get a buff of any kind, 3:20 AT LEAST for a full buff if the performer knows what they're doing)

from the patchnotes on TC:
# It now takes half as long to apply an Entertainer mind buff.
So I assume it will be something around 1:30 minutes for the full buff, i did not test it

I hit full duration buffs on TC in 1:20 the other day... or thereabouts. Exact timing is tricky since there's always a bit of a delay between when you ask someone to stop watching and when they actually do.
(Well, okay, I hit a full 2 hour buff in 1 minute flat too, timed with the /stop to the second, but that was testing an exploit.
)
Still, 1:30 (with slight /stopwatch delay) is really fast. Two of the three first people I tested this on thought I was joking when I asked them to /stopwatch, and were just amazed when they came out as 2 hour duration.
I think that overall this will be a very good change. In my personal experience, players who want to hang out and socialize a bit while buffing will do so anyway, and just either get the buff a bit later when they're ready to head out, or just get it whenever and not worry as much about the timer (like they do now)... more casual. Those who are in a hurry, however, will be thrilled. Sounds like a win-win to me.

I see the decreased time for buffing as a good thing. I find that, personally, I don't get to socialize as much when I'm in a buff-mode, so anything that gets that buff (which is a rather boring but necessary part of my profession choice) done quicker is okay by me. Yes, I use a macro, but buffing is not my cup of tea - I prefer to talk, have fun and put on a show.
