I was pondering the shortened length of buff timers and healing, and had a few thoughts about the current effect of bots on dancers and how the future changes will effect both the live and botted entertainer:
Bots: It seems like shortened buff timers would leave multiple bots useless sinceone bot could effectively cover an entire cantina. I'd personally like to see more bott owners discouraged. Or will it become harder for live entertainers to compete with multiple bots?
Spam: I know more than one bott thathas terriblespatial spam of instructions. What will this be like when buffs are reduced to only 1 minute?
Credits: People already tend to underestimate the value of a buff imho. Now that they only take around a minute, will earning potential be reduced? Will people tip more if healing takes less time? Would reduced income further discourage bot owners?

I don't know. It's so hard notto get caught in the trap of just trying to figure out how to get rid of Bots bad effects on us.... then you start saying crazy things like "make us have pop-ups every two seconds to be able to heal!" and other goofiness we wouldhate.
I'm not sure what this change will do to the Bot vs Live experience... I've pretty much gotten to the point that I won't even think about the Bot factor unless it's a discussion on increasing Ent Activities, active things, hands on things, often skill related things: Puzzles, mini-games, group challenge missions, group challenge objects, things that absolutely demand interaction for a reward.
Because this doesn't directly change the level of interaction and is still a passive thing, I don't know that it will change the Bot/Live dynamic at all. If it does, I'm not sure which way it will be.

Lol except I'm now finding that people I put on ignore months ago have finished whatever grind they were doing and gone back to combat. Now they want to be customers and I can't see them asking. I had two recent situations where people had to relay tells to me until I figured out I had a person on ignore.

I hate using /addignore. It's something I see that I'll have to use more often. Bot spam will be terrible. The worst part is that even if I ignore them, I know it will be cluttering up the screens of my friends and cantina customers.

Exactly, that's why I've never considered it a valid alternative.
Honestly I'm just in a "wait and see" mode on healing. I think they overtweaked heal exp, honestly, and now people are gonna cap heal way before dance exp.
I view these changes (all of them) as the final step before AFK removal. I truly believe it this time. So I'm not worrying overmuch about the impact on us in a bot-infested world, as I believe that world will soon be a thing of the past. Now, if in a couple of months we're still at this point I might start worrying.. But I have faith again, something I didn't think was possible....

And /addignore doesn't block their emote spam. My current pattern is to go through my ignore list once per month and remove people.
For the reduced time impact..I'm not sure we can make any predictions since there is no telling what will happen with the changes in combat, armor, HAM costs etc... Personally in the immediate future I like the idea because it means a duo teamed together can provide buffs in approximately 2 minutes while the buff bot will have to take 4 because of the start and stop. I'm already working with a few musicians in hopes we can set up shop and take back the bulk of the business for a change.
