Lol. I note with the decay penalties recently added, people appear to be scrambling like mad to clone. This is really taking a bite out of my healing XP.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or just my bad luck for the evening?

Here is a novel (read: "evil") idea: Make the penalty for death be wounds down to 1/1/1 HAM if you did not clone, and the way it currently is for no clone if you did. More healing XP out there that way. (Cue wicked laugh.)

Definitely noticed this as well, there is little to no healing exp to be had after this patch.

I predict that the Dancer Profession will be in a huge state of crisis soon...

yes, it has started to go down hill already. tonight on chilastra in coronet I was lucky to get enough to finish off my level 3 dancer's wound healing. I was in a full group, moslty dancers, very few manged to get a box filled or make any really head way into it. It is looking like getting both of the healing level 4 boxes is going to take a guild effort now, unless I wish to spend forever online trying to fill the 250K exp needed for both level 4 boxes, I just dont have that kind of play time.

Same thing is happening on Tempest, I'm getting less then half the healing XP compared to earlier this week in Anchorhead... And there were some weirdos last night running around in their underwear as a protest to the new decay system, made me laugh.

Ok, so after 3 months I finally got to my last skill box yesterday......fatgiue 4. So this is how i got thru the whole box and made master, yes i played all day but dangit I wanted to get done. Find yourself a combat medic that has a few great diseases. Find a group of people, thank goodness I have a great PA, and get some of the patrons (like the guywho practiced ID on me who said he owed me) and get them mind diseased. Let them watch the group dancing and viola lots of heal exp! And because there was at least 3 of them diseased at a time the heal exp rolled in. Without this I could not have made Master last night due to the new heal exp system. So good luck, and I hope this works for you if you try it!

Yes, you will have to rely on CM now if you want to do what above poster said if youreally need that healing XP. Pop a willpower/mind/focus on the target and let the target listen to you

I know, I have almost gotten to 4 4 4 3, this patch is horrible IMO when it comes to healing exp. I have spent three days just getting wound healing 4 close to full, I hope to have it tonight. I doubt any fix will help those of us stuck on our forth boxes now, except for finding a good CM to buddy with and a few willing to be posioned. What makes things even worse is all the jedi holocron stuff has half the pople on my server it seems between classes, dumping one to get another, and another. Finding a CM thats not afking for jedi is going to be tough.

Problem noted, will see if I can get something done. (I probably shouldn't try and do something mean to the other professions, I have enough people mad at me for being evil that way already. So I'm thinking just getting the amount we need to skill up reduced.)

I've definitely noticed reduced entertainment healing experience. It didn't really start with this most recent patch though. I noticed it when they did away with the revenge TEF.

I danced in Bestine most of the time when I was looking to get healing experience. Before that patch it was fairly common to see people with completely black mind bars come in for healing - perhaps 2 or 3 an hour. Afterwards it was very rare.

Perhaps they should increase healing experience for buffing.

This is good (not the lack of healing exp, that would be bad- the opposite of good.)

They make a patch that is supposed to fx some things- obviously test center is limited in time and players really so many things don't make as big a dent in things as it does when something goes live.

Decay was introduced because tailors make things and then nothing decayed, so people had no reason to keep going back. (Of course there are new players but that won't be as good pickings for long- and people who buy from a tailor a lot end up making friendships and not annoying the heck out of the tailor every waking moment.) if people have no reason to go back then the tailors have very little to do.

They created a way to fix this problem and had it occur with death and insurance etc. Now we know that the concept is alright (even though I havea problem with items that were not eqipped decaying- survey devices and such should decay with use. Armor decay with how many times it blocks whatver damage it is supposed to, clothes.... I dunno- but perhaps use as well somehow). Like every change, it's s tone tossed into a calm pond- make this ripple pparent to the people who can change it and it'll be okay.

It is rather annoying that our experience has to rely so drastically on the number of CM's in the game though. I have not noticed if we help raise mind in a white bar as opposed to just healing blackrot, because boy we would be a help to the medics who heal us, and that would help a bit with exp gain in healing.
