Thread: Career Dancers and Musicians Let's move the show
Mind you, this is in Coronet.
My only regret is how quiet it is.
I'd like to see more Master Dancers and Master Musicians entertaining in these quieter areas - the performances would be more attractive/pleasant to listen to, and the grind groups wouldn't be as full with our absence from them.
It would also get customers to visit these places for buffs - just walk in, select your favorite buffer present, and enjoy the show. Most people would still probably visit the cantina for wound heals and BF fixing, since most people don't actually actively seek buffs out.
If Chirri's in town, she gets tells asking where she is and if she's buffing.
Spread the word to friends and customers and guilds. The HoloCantinas are getting painful to stutter through.
excellent idea. the cantinas are far too crowded, and althopugh i do not hate afk levelrs (having been one myself) i DO hate afk ppl who have macros that spam spatial chat ![]()
so, i will try to have my clients go to the hotels or whatnot. the only problem i for see with asking some guy to go to a hotel with me for a more private show..seems a little to ..uhm..suggestive, even for me ![]()
Not if we move all career dancing to nicer digs. The idea is if at least some of us do it, it won't be private shows and others will get the idea.

Well, I've sworn off Theed and Coronet cantinas. It's not so much the folks getting their holos done or afk'ers, I just hate the lag! I'm getting more tells than ever for mind buffs when I'm in town, but instead of working out of the cantina, I'm doing the hotel circuit. Much more intimate with a stage. You can talk to your customer and you're almost guaranteed to be tipped!
Your regular customers are going to find you, and we can train folks needing healing to look for entertainers in other places. I don't know about you but I'm really getting tired of looking at the cantina walls anyway. The guild hall is also a great place, but I find it a little big for healing.
So take a stand, leave the bars behind and dance at a classy hotel lounge! See ya there.

Sister Sirii, I used to worry about that too, but I find some of the less adventurous of us are afraid to step into the light and move across town, thinking they will go broke. Of course, who makes tips in that mess? Who can concentrate? Who will catch the wink and sly smile among the drones?
You and I are prophetesses, and as such we will be largely ignored, so our secret is safe.
Safe travels friend,

Every month or so, entertainers try to move out of the cantinas and into the hotels and other locations. Unfortunatly, no matter how much the advertise the move, the automatic response of players is to head to the cantina.
They will always find someone there who can heal them. So unless the customer is fanatic about NEVER using an AFK entertainer, then they will not go elsewhere.
I have not ever, not once, not even for one flourish, danced in Theed or Coronet.

I find myself often in Bestine since it is the static city closest to the player city I am in. Though I do have some problems with imperials noticing my rebel badge and not tipping (or calling me rebel scum), it is rather fun to /deny them for a moment and ask why they should receive their healing from a dirty rebel. And then the apologies and "we were only kidding!" remarks come a'flying. All in good fun, of course! ![]()
Coronet is horrible on Kauri. Because I am already a Master Dancer, I get very rude remarks about stealing people's xp and "why are you still dancing if you're a Master?".. which totally brings me down.
I've been in the Mining Outpost on Dantooine a lot recently. Lots of nice customers and very fat musicians in hot pants *shudder*.
Wee!
