Well, if you hate grind you're in the wrong game so we can safely remove that factor from consideration. *heh*

You say you hate crafting and you like interaction. Sounds like you'd prefer entertainer. I'd say that you need to prioritize your goals. If making money is your primary goal then entertainer is the wrong choice. If having fun is your goal then crafting is the wrong choice UNLESS you choose a craft that mirrors some other aspect of the game that you really enjoy.

The biggest problem with being an entertainer right now is that the game has reduced our neccesity to the point that it's difficult to get an audience. You can spend a lot of time being solo when you really want to be in a crowd.

Honestly, though, you don't have to do one or the other. Do both through the "newbie" stages and then decide which you prefer when you're ready to move up to an elite profession. Whatever Galaxies is, the one thing it was never intended to be is a single-minded grind from the bottom rung of a profession to the top rungs. Keep your experience broad until you have no choice but to drop one profession in favor of the other. THAT'S the way to really enjoy SWG the way it was originally meant to be enjoyed.

after a while, people would want to throw parties in your shop too

today I was gonna go start some components in my factory, but that got completely derailed when folks I know showed up and said more are on the way. then one of them was attacked by a BH, we all watched, no one won so they called it a draw, and everyone forgot to return to my shop O.o I sneaked my factory run somewhere in there

I'm thinking about changing my showroom (behind my tent) into a club and charge people for hanging out

I was gonna do something like that at first (chef/musician), then somehow it ended up being tailor/CH, and after a while it became tailor/merchant
