For the last few days, I've watched a player come into my city on Dant, use my musician trainer and fly away. When she did such yesterday, I examined her and found that she only had the entertainer and dancer badges, no exploration, etc. Yea...good sign of a bot. So knowing that no one in my towned required this trainer, I pulled it.
Today she comes into town and asks where the musician trainer had gone. I asked her if she was an ATK dancer. She said she runs dual instances of SWG so she can hear when someone sends her a tell so she can buff them and that's a lot more at the keyboard than the rest of the dancers on this server. I told her that no, the trainer would no be back in that case. She then proceeded to tell me I was arrogant and that her older bot Purr (Purr Fection) was one of the most popular dancers on Corbantis. I told her great, if it was that popular, she should have no problem finding other entertainers to train her.
Personally, I'm not thinking this is arrogant. If you ran a Mom 'n' Pop corner store and WalMart moved in next door, would you sell them start up supplies?

if she couldn't find a musician trainer in an NPC city and had to resort to insulting you verbally, I say let her... although I have this twisted sense of satsifaction from laughing at customers that tries to cuss me out so I'll let them back in

no, I wasn't on my mayor toon and this one isn't on militia. I doubt she'll be back now that she knows she's unwelcomed anyways.

I guess she had AFKed so much she didn't know that there are musician trainers all over the freakin' place... It's not like they don't exist anywhere but your city.
What a maroon...

Perhaps she doesn't make enough in tips to afford shuttle fare to the NPC cities. Since this is a support account, probably doesn't have JTL either.
Maybe we should take up a collection....

This is pretty much the reaction I get when I tell people "Sorry, I don't train AFK bots."
My usual reply is that I'm proud of the fact that I have standards and that no reward, item, skill or amount of credits in this game is worth my hurting other players to get.
It doesn't go over well, but it's not like I really care anyway.
I don't think it's "arrogant," really. You have no obligation to train or provide trainers for anyone.

I was in a group last week that was full, but 5 were AFKs. I told the group leader that I normally kick AFKers if someone live wants to join, and this did not go over well with one of the other live players, who AFKs a lot but happened to be there just then. She wanted to know why I was "mad at her." I tried to explain that I wasn't mad at her per se, but rather, someone who isn't at keyboard can't feel isolated and left out if they are not in group, but someone at keyboard certainly can. I don't think she understood at all.
I got the same responses as normal from these people. All of the others AFK when they are not able to play. They won't even consider the possibility that they should actually log out of the game when they are not playing it. "I keep this computer on 24/7 anyway so why not?"
I guess I just will never, ever understand this mentality.

Do you suppose she hoped that by calling you arrogant that you would put up a trainer for her? I'd think a rational person would try being nice if they wanted a favor.
If that's arrogant... I think there need to be more arrogant entertainers.

Your city. You essentially foot the bill and the headaches associated with it. So its up to you.
My guild has basically been called arrogant before as well as elitist because of our views on AFK'ing (we don't support it at all).
Most recently our guildleader (i'm coleader) was told he had too much control over the members of the guild. This is basically why there is now another entertainer guild on the server which allows afking.
To each his own i guess.
