Thread: I had fun yesterday In Mos Eisley

Can you believe that I could have fun in the Neebie town?
I was a bit bored and about to go back to doing some quests toward Jedi-hood (ack) when while on the ent chat channel I meantioned that you can dance with pets. I had a short discusion about this with one Ne-Ko, a lovely green master musician twi'lek, and meantioned that you can can with all pets, but that I didn't know about Faction pets. So what do I do? I buy a faction pet and test it out. It worked! I was amazed. One day I'll have to make an Imperial dancer and get an ATST and see what it looks like.
Anyways, I meantioned going to Tat and and scaring the new players with my dancing pets: a rebel trooper, a droid, and 3 animals (one would be a rancor). I went, crashed out at least once and continued to dance outside the Mos Eisley cantina. Soon up walks Ne-Ko and starts to play her Nargalon. She also pulled out her Music droid. Then 2 new musicians came out to play with us. Did you know that 2 slytherhorns actually sound good together?! Another master musician shows up witha lightshow droid.
It was great. Lots of people stopped to watch as a Rancor danced in circles, streching toward passer-bys, the Rebel piroetted, the mouse droid of mine squeaked, 2 other random pets spun, and a small band played in the middle of the street.
A truely great day.

Wow, pets dance beyond trick 1 & 2?
What is the command? It sounds like a lot of fun!

Just have them patrol in a very tight circle

hmmmm have never danced with pets before. Too bad I am not dancer/CH...now THAT would be a show!

That's what I miss a LOT about being dancer/MCH... but unfortunately not enough to drop music and carbines for it.

How to Dance with pets 101:
Requirements: One pet of any type that knows either the Formation commands or the Patrol ones, Novice entertianer.
How to do it:
Formation: First make sure that your pet knows one of the 2 formation commands. If it is a creature and not a droid or factional you'll need to have a CH teach the pet(s) column and or wedge formation. 2nd call out your pet. 3rd get in position say your fomation command or use /tellpet. 4th dance. Note as was meantioned this works with any dance but the rooted ones like Exotic.
Patrol: 1st make sure the pet knows at least Get Patrol Point and Patrol. Again a CH might be needed if you use a creature. 2nd pull out the pet and give it a few (2 or more) patrol points that are close together using Get Patrol Point. 3rd use the Patrol command.
Of course the first one takes less work, but not everyone wants to stay with thesub-master dances. Also the Patrol commands are the only ones that will work with Musicians and rooted dances.
Also note that you do not, I repeat DO NOT need to be CH at all. Just use a droid, faction pet, or creature level 10 and below. Mounts work too (just watch out for long tails).

Patrol works.
Wedge or column formation works, if you're doing a dance that is not ancored. So doesn't work with Exotic for example, but does with Popular 2.
As for the slitherhorn: It sounds pretty good with about any song BUT Starwars 1...
