I recently trained the Dancing Knowledge 2 skill, and now I'm unable to use my macros. I am an ATK player, so it's not a huge deal, but it's nice to be able to focus on talking to clients instead of pushing buttons to do flourishes. My question is, am I no longer able to use macros because of the skill? I've tried switching dances, but my macros won't work even with lower-level dances.
I've also tried writing simple macros that make me do things like /smile, but even those don't work. I'm so confused! I don't rely on macros, but it would be nice to know what happened to all of mine!

It's a bug. I've had it happen to me several times. Log completely out of the game and restart it. That should fix it. If it doesn't, /bug report it.

Good news, its notyou. 
All my macros broke the other day. Noone knows definitely why,Ive read alot of theories, but it happens on occasion.
Funnily enough its an easy fix if you aresetup tocopy and paste in game. I copied the "broken" macro coding, pasted it into a new macro and it worked just fine.

Slightly off topic...but how do you copy and paste in the game? There've been so many occasions I've wanted to do so and couldn't. I just assumed it wasn't an option.

In the Options panel (ctrl+o), selectthe Keymap button.In the Keymap window, under the Chat tab, scroll down until you find Copy & Paste and map keys to them (highlight the one you want to change and then "rebind" I think). I use ctrl+j for paste and ctrl+k for copy.
