Your's is one of the names I recall from the Stone Age and haven't seen in a while. I took a look at the URL in your sig. You may have already had it checked out but stop 0x9c errors are usually caused by faulty or failing RAM or CPU or if the RAM isn't of the correct rating. I understand you've had no problem with playing other games. Different games seem to exhibit differing problems for me. Recently I started having crashes and hard freezes while playing SWG. Being that I'm stubborn and hate spending rl money (I feel no qualms about wasting credits), I resisted replacing hardware because there were still other hardware demanding games that were playing with no problem. I finally broke down and replacedthe CPU(after shuffling RAM around and complaining a lot because the CPU was less than a year old), all has been well since.

Good luck to you, wherever you may go. And we hope to see you around here again sometime.

Whoa I read your 4 pages of tech woes and ouch! You surely tried, way more than I would have the patience for I may add.

Hope you at some point find your way back, anyone who was a dancer this long and loved it is ok in my book..... even if I never met you in game.

Are all of your fans functional? Video card, processor, case fans, power supply fans?

Best option would be to rebuild your computer to a degree, if you really want to play SWG. First, your power supply is out of spec, as someone mentioned in your tech support thread. The 12v rail istoo high, probably fried who knows what, in who knows where. Or at least made it flaky. Your 12v rail is showing as 16.32v - that's excessive.

Second, I read that you removed each RAM card and tried each one, and both gave you a freeze. This doesn't necessarily mean it's not the RAM, it just means both of your RAM cards could be causing a crash in SWG. You will need to buy at *least* a 256MB RAM card (not the same brand you already have, and make sure it's compatible...Crucial RAM has never let me down), preferably from someplace like Best Buy. Keep your reciept. Slap it in the computer. Your RAM is not the problem, most likely, if you still freeze with totally different RAM.

Next up, if you still crash, remove ALL PCI cards that you can, that aren't necessary to play the game. Might be a weird IRQ conflict that's hard to track down.

Then, if you still crash, you'd have to try a new motherboard/processor. Last resort. And most expensive.

This is, of course, assuming you're still reading this post.

Good luck, computer problems suck.

Did not read the 4 pagres from your sig so sorry if you may have already tried this. Have you run a chkdisk on your hard drive? If not give that a shot.

I had a similar problem to yours a while back. I got the BSOD mostly after playing SWG with some kind of critical system error message, but I also sometimes got about the same crash from running Netscape. I think it mentioned something about possible driver conflicts or something, and there was some reference to a help page on the MS website, but none of that information helped. When I checked my system out, I did find a motherboard fan that had stopped working. I replaced it, but it didn't solve the problem. Since my problem was happening with more than one application I suspected something more fundamental was going on. I had a techie friend of mine check it out. At first he said there was some bad memory, but he ended up replacing and upgrading the whole motherboard, CPU, and memory for me. It's been working great since then with everything I've tried to run on it. I don't know how old your components are, but I would tend to suspect you may be having a similar issue.
