I am currently a dancer with the following skill
0 , 1 , 2 , 3
I am 10k dancing xp, and 4k wound healing xp from
0 , 1 , 3 , 4
From what I have heard from other entertainers the wound healing xp is the hard xp to earn. Am I just getting lucky with the wound healing or is there something else behind it? I have heard of dancers with 2 boxes of wound healing xp left to get master and that they have maxed dancing xp. It looks like I will be maxed with wound xp trying to get 2 boxes of dancers xp.

Any help or thoughts on this issue would nice.

It completely depends on where you dance and when. If you dance in a place where a lot of wounded people visit and dance during popular hours, that's probably why you have so much healing experience.

There's nothing unusual or broken about that. It'll be different for everyone.

I refuse to dance in Theed. A friend of mine dances there regularly. The last weekend, in my player city, I got 3000 xp of healing. She got 25,000.

So pickles is right... depends where and when.

Which unfortuneatly for me makes pushing XP changes to healing very tough simply because there are a few that are getting a decent amount. Still tho, its definately not the norm so I'll keep working on it.

I know when I was mastering dancer I had a surplus of healing xp while earning Novice. In fact I maxed healing xp (at like 75k I think) before I got dancing 4 from the entertainer tree. This made the first 2 boxes of healing very easy to fil since I had most of the xp. A week or two later I had all my dancing xp and was 300k healing xp away from master. This was dancing almost exclusively in Mos Eisley and Coronet. As you gain more dances you se a much bigger increase in the dancing XP than in the healing XP. At least that was my experience.

I was the same way. I found healing to be much easier to gain. I maxed out Wound and Fatigue before I maxed out Technique (part of that was because I was a freak and didn’t pursue Knowledge).

But I performed primarily in Bestine, which is just next door to Anchorhead, so there was a lot of PvP players. I also performed in Wayfar back when doing Jabba missions was all the craze.

One reason why Healing XP may be diminishing is that people are finally playing smarter. They are cloning more often. I remember the good ole days when attracting customers was an art form. I usually won over patrons by looking at the 2/3 black bar and ask, "What ate you up and spit you out?" That got them talking. Now, I rarely see more than 100 Mind wounds, and those are people who travel and forget to clone.

But it may be that you are in a hotspot of PvP activity. A little friendly Imperial/Rebel conflict.

And those who complain about a lack of healing may not be in those hotspots.

I imagine that those with a surplus of Dancing XP (I never had that problem) might do well to travel to those isolated cantinas and provide a service to the hunters there. Since you’re not hurting for Dance XP, you don’t need a large group. And for a change, a patron can thank a live person for being there. But I’m only speculating here.

Love Star Wars, but the few role-players I could find on the servers were outnumbered by powergamers who wanted only l337 l00t and mad skillz. I can't justify paying $15 a month to play a game by myself.
Still cares enough to interject an opinion, though.

Just a Holodancer chiming in here. Pls don't hate me too fast.

Dancingonly in, almostalways during high-traffic times, evenings and weekends inTheed, I'm at 4342 now. My bet is I hit the 900k xp cap before hitting Master. This also seem to be everyones experience I've talked to.

At the Entertainer level, I easily hit Ent. Healing 4 before Dancing 4. Similar to Musican healing, thetwo kinds of xp don't scale together.

Generally I've noticed that before novice, your ent healing xp will cap before you finish dancing xp. But after novice, you tend to have at least a box or two of healing xp left long after you finish all of your dancing xp... even if you dance in high populated cantinas.

Thank you for all the response on this thread. I am now a 0,2,4,4 dancer. I will be starting the first branch tonight, I am currently half way up box 3 of wound healing.

I must say that it is strange seeing the shift in entertainers, as the holo people drop and leave the cantina. It makes for some interesting chats.

Another reason, that no one has mentioned for reduced healing xp, is that as players advance up the various combat trees,,they dodge, evade, kill quicker and just overall take less damage, At launch almost everyone needed frequent healing, weapons werent as powerful, armor wasnt as effective and groups were not as experienced.

Its just the maturation of the game,,,and the players involved,
