Thread: Battle Fatigue SHOULD not be only a cantina/house fix
That is really the only problem with this profession...that and if Master Doctors can buff themselves, how come we can't? These things I think should be fixed and will maybe get some of the dancers out of cantinas (which can be a good thing...I mean the Galaxy is a cool place to explore) and into the playing fields with the rest of us.
As for the buffing, it's already been stated that there's a technical issue with buffing ourselfs. It's something the devs want to do, and will do, they just need to find the time to hurdle that technical issue, and on the grand scheme of things, this probably rates pretty low compared to all the other issues plaguing the game. But be patient and it'll happen.

Hello All, I am a Ranger but your subject line caught my attention. Rangers have been pushing for our largest camp (High Tech Field Base) to stay active during combat to act as a forward base for large groups and allowDancers to heal BF. IMO this would be perfect for Dancers. It would allow them to travel and be a welcome part hunting groups.
I believe the Dev's should make every profession a much needed part of every large group. As it stands right now, Ranger camps do not do much more than the simple camps we get as Scouts. This could be of great benefit to both our professions.
Oh, and a hot tub.

Mmmm... s'mores and a hot tub... man if Ranger camps came with those I'd have to drop musician and take up Ranger. ![]()
That or hire / make a Ranger my slave so I would have one of those wonderful camps to lounge around in whenever I wanted... hehehe.... I hope N'Raas didn't hear me say that. ![]()
I agree with the proposal of BF healing at the highest level camps, as a matter of fact, I envision several camps set out in rows by battlefields serving as mind healing bases, or one could even start to imagine nomadic groups of entertainers along with their bodyguards (battle profession players)in what we could call (I guess) a circus. Really, I'm not kidding, and master CHs could tag along with exotic creatures to help the show along. I think that'd be awesome.
How would this work financially?
well the problem with this scenario is that u can't have, say, a clan war in the middle of the tattoinian desert because the cloning stations simply aren't there. The only way that this would work is either by:
A) ppl agree not to death blow (so u can get up from incapp and actually go and get healed at the camp with all the master DOCs and Master entertainers). This is achievable but very hard to keep ppl from doing it in the heat of battles, especially between rival clans.
or
B) portable cloning facilities. A true Master Ranger camp should no only offer BF healing, but also a limited cloning facility (say, a basic one, where u CANNOT keep stored cloning data or else there'd be no healing at all), but also a recruiter (ifit is a factioned M Ranger) so u can:
1) die
2) clone ON LOCATION
3) heal-up as much as u wish
4) declare ON LOCATION
5) god kill some more, without losing a beat
Like that we can have epic clan battles wherever we wish! Have u noticed that we have planets that are 16x16km and all the raids and battles HAVE to take place around towns? NOt only would the fun gradient explode for all professions, but also, I can only imagine how much revenue doctors, rangers, and entertainers would make each time they got contracted to support a clan through a battle.
Think about it ppl, all these professions are fundamental to the game and they are right now, completely underused.

Great Compromise
I was asking for this a long time ago. Didn't get much support from the other dancers, many of whom were convinced it would "kill the cantina as the social center of the game."
Hope you have better luck.

I'm not convinced they don't. Those things are practically luxury hotels. I'm not a fan of the healing BF in the field, but I have to admit, that camp looks pretty relaxing, like a good place to just kick back.
