Now theres a topic I haven't seen in awhile.
There are more dances in the works, nobody knows when or what they are. For now however, formal and lyrical are very much like ballet, which is traditionally performed by men. And theres footloose, but nobody likes that one. You can dance poplock and dance like Michael Jackson. Popular isn't bad in general, it's a nice neutral dance.

Be strong and not self-concious!
Don't worry about whether your audience will think you "manly" or not!
Any guy can walk out of town with a flamethrower in his hand.
It takes a REAL man to stand in the middle of a busy cantina, dance Lyrical or Exotic and be unashamed!
Dance is art... revel in it!

Depends on your target audience, I think. Some of the hottest pixels ever to grace my screen were that of a male dancer doing exotic2 in synch with myself and another female dancer. We arranged ourselves in a sort of triangle and did bandflos and I tell you, it was stunning!
If you're trying to appeal to the ladies, you'll find us a very receptive audience.

I find the ladies are varied. Some like seeing the men doing the exotics, some don't. Often times this is a good litmus test for who's played by a female, but it is not 100%. I know some men that like it and some women that don't.
Better than exotic2 is exotic4 in a triangle formation, specificlaly flourish 1.
