I've noticed that some dances seem to cause me to drift around the floor over time and unless I stop the dance and move back, I would eventually run into a wall. Some dances I've noticed are worse than others. For instance, footloose I can keep going for a very long time (hour or 2) before having to stop and move back while basic 2 it seems as though I'm having to do it every 20 mins or so. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way around this or if I'm basically stuck with having to stop every so often and move back?

Yes alot of dances are like this.

Popular and Popular2 makes you drift along with other dances.

It really makes it hard for male entertainers to dance with the female entertainers if we drift right outside the cantina and some person says "xxx has left the cantina everyone!"

Yep yep... take a look through Sultrina's Dance School for a lot of good advice and tricks for combatting drift... or even using it to your advantage.

Basically to fight drift, you have to know exactly when to flourish.

Yeah, just got through reading on the drift. Very interesting. You think the devs would have made Dancer similar to Musician in that the flourish doesn't start until the base part starts to repeat, but oh well. With this info now I can make an attempt at keeping myself from drifting so much.
