Thread: Entertainer film Documentary about Macros and AFK entertainers

Hello there, I just came up with the idea to express the problems of the Entertainer professions *elite professions included*. I have beleived that our complaining on the forums isn't reaching the developers so I have choosed to give them a visual representive of our problems in the afk... entertainer profession
the highlights.
-Forums messages video recorded, Correspondent opinions.
-Afk entertaining in the cantina
-The spirit of the Cantinas with Afk entertainers
-Me trying to contact a CS representive.
-Showing of how buff bots ruin our profession.
-The showing of ATK-Buff Bots in the flim and how they're not any better.
-The Afk entertainers taking only 20% portion of the cantina.
-How the use of spamming macros distrup the game.
The length.
I am looking at a 10 minute film.
The goal
To make the develops realize that there is a MAJOR issue with Afk entertainers in this game and by eliminating AFk entertainers and fixing our profession

On what basis do you believe that the developers know nothing of the AFK situation? I think they are well aware of the AFK issues, including the ones that don't involve entertainers.

the devs are well aware of the afk issue and their solution so far appears to be a ham handed nerfing of recoursive macros. to me this will be intolerable as i use recursive macros extensively to remove the clunkiness of game mechanics.
i have great sympathy for the entertainer community but i dont want the game as a whole nerfed to fix this issue in such a clumsy manner when simply moving the action of buffing to the radial menu and removing the ability to macro it could be done instead.
i just think its a travesty that the dancer and musician folk are crying for a nerf like this when their problems are not caused by recursive macros

The dancer and musician communities did not ask for anything except the removal of unattended gameplay. The stated plan of the developers was by no means our preferred way of accomplishing that.
Please do not blame the entertainer community for any anticipated or real results that occur. Do we want unattended gameplay removed from SWG? Absolutely. Do we want macros ruined in the process? No, we don't.

Something else to consider is that the devs have said they aren't doing this just for entertainers. Their stated goal is to get rid of ALL unattended "play," not just buffbots. Moving the buff command to a radial menu wouldn't do squat to AFK spawn-campers or AFK spammers.
Have you tried replacing your macros with non-looping macros? If recursive macros are really going away, it wouldn't hurt to start getting ready now.
PS: correct me if I'n wrong, but wouldn't it be possible to macro a radial menu option using the ` key?
