Hey all,

I've just started down the path of dancing and was looking for a little help/advice with dancing macro's. I haven't written many macros for the game in my other professions so haven't got much experience with them.

Basically I just wanted some macros to keep things interesting while still being able to chat to others while dancing.

Any macro suggestions would be great,

I typically use a two keys macro combination out of personal habbit, I will use F12 and shift F12 for example:

name: dancer-autolevel-1.2-F12

choosing a meaning name for ur macro will help u identify it later, i like to use <char class>-<function>-<part # out of total steps>-<function key used> syntax.

/join;

/join; (it autojoins a group if invited)

/startdance exotic4; (starts dancing with the exotic 4 dance)

/flourish1; (perform flourish 1)

/ui action targetGroup0; (targets the first person in the group on ur group list)

/say hi %TT, I hope you are enjoy ur day... (says full name of the target with %TT in spatial)

/pause 15; (waits 15 game ticks roughly 15 seconds)

/changedance poplock2; (changes dance to poplock2)

/flourish 8; (now performs 8th flourish)

/pause 15;

/gsay omg... i must run along... (say the phrase in group chat)

/disband; (leaves a group if you are part of the group);

/ui action toolbarSlot23; (toggles function key shift F12)

be creative and combine various moves from difference dances can be an interesting experience. i hope you have fun coming up with ideas for your macro. i have used some basic key function and denote their functionalities, rest is entirely up to you.

this macro's /join relies on other ppl to invite you. you can however choose to macro invitation for anyone who stands in front of you, but it might be disruptive as not everyone stands in front of you wish to be invited.

several ideas regarding to macro:

1. please keep spamming down to barely minimum, it creates traffic on server and it ruins everyone's experience, if it is absolutely nessary, do it in groupchat via /g to give informative info on groupchat (auto buffing macro).

2. u can put clothes on toolbar and change ur outfit periodically via /ui action toolbarSlotXX.

3. u can have multiple macro running at the same time, creating various effects and dialogs if you wish.

example: i can have one macro running, changing my outfits, i can have one macro running performing different flourishes, i can have one macro change my dances, i can have another macro running performing effects, i can have another macro calling my pets for vairous stage props and effects.

4. add pets to ur show, set up various wp around the cantina or stage, have ur pet do a patrol, periodically call ur pet to perform various tricks.

5. most important of it all, have FUN and be CREATIVE, i hope I have gave you some ideas regarding to what you can do with your macro.

You only need autojoin if you are AFK. You only need to add conversation toa basicmacro if you are AFK.

There are plenty of other macros you can use to dance that don't involved being AFK, although I only use mine when I'm leading a dancer group for a Cantina Crawl or doing a buff. I prefer to hand flo because there are certain flos for certain dances that I like and others that I refuse to perform. Macroing each dance is not something I personally want to do. I've always managed to hand flo and still keep chatting it up with fellow ents and patrons. Don't let yourself get intimidated by all that can go on in the cantina. Take your time, enjoy the ride, find some live ents to dance with and just have fun with it.
