Thread: Quest rewards

Combatants get rewards for doing all these quests, and for fighting bad guys. Some of them happen to be things Ents can use, such as the exquisite leotard schematics (okay, we don't use the schematic, but we do use the end product!) and BF/mind enhancement tapes (which maybe aren't that useful now).
I've heard the reason for this is to keep some sort of interdependency in the game. (Although it would seem that Ents are completely dependent on the charity of the combatants.)
I would suggest that Entertainers should get a reward, beyond the dance or song they will love, for doing the theater quests. And I would suggest the best reward of all might be an ADK or something of thatnature.
Most Ents wouldn't use it -- but they could sure make a little cash. For once, Ents would have something that combatants would pay through the nose to get. It could make the combatants a bit more dependent on Ents -- because not many combatants are going to cruise through Entertainer 0044 and into Novice Dance (or Nov. Musician) and then rack up 400k in dance xp to get that.
Good idea? Bad idea?
Bad Idea about the specifics of the reward. Part of a reward, is the association of being special that comes along with it. A reward is something that is symbolic maybe of your work, your dedication, your perserverance. You want something that means something to you and that trancends the effort you have put in.
The principle behind a reward is that its for you, as it is a reward TO you. I am not against rewards for quests, I am against rewards that people just see as a quick way to make a buck.
LMAO! I love the idea.. but I doubt they'd make it an ADK. But there are a lot of quests now that give a reward that can only be used by certain people (the Clone Trooper Armor, theweapons, etc...). There's no reason these have to only be combat-centric quests. They can be crafting quests or entertainer quests.
I understand wanting to do a quest that "says something about who you are" rather than just providing a quick buck or a new decoration but I think it's quite easy to have both. They have them now for combat characters.
I love the idea of entertainers being able to get some kind of loot, particularly decorative items. I hate having to pay my combat-prof friends to go get some of the pretty new Kashyyyk loot for me
It would be great to be able to use our entertainer skills to get items that combat-prof people can't get.
Not that I'm saying get something that we wouldn't also use and enjoy, but it would balance things better if we could trade for loot items rather than having to buy ALL our decorative loot items simply because we can't get any ourselves.
ROFL!!!
