Thread: Trouble getting exp
Hey all,
I wondered if there is something I can doing wrong? I spend hours upon hours at a time in the cantina and have barely made it through dancing 3. I am about to call it quits because it doesnt seem like dancing 4 will ever come. I do my flourishes over and over, always use the latest technique and usually havea steady healer so I never have to stop dancing. What's up???? Also, I am always in the group there which is usually between 12 and 18 people. The most I am getting for a single flourish is 20 points and at times I get over 1000 for a single entertainment heal. My healing is so high I will be able to train in 2 levels already if I ever make novice. Is there anything Im doing wrong or any way to improve this? I also set up campsites and dance there as well. Please help because Im about to give up...

Sounds like you are doing everything right... so the only advice I can give you is: Forget about the xp.
Focus instead on entertaining your audience, mixing up the dances, making up new routines... anything to take your mind off the xp gain (or lack of). Then before you know it.. novice dancer ![]()
Really need an edit feature here:
There's a handy little (undocumented) command, /changedance. Just type the command and the name of the dance you want to start. It lets youchange dances without stopping. Practice with it some, some changes look good, but others are kind of jerky. I'm actually working out macros for transitions to make them look smoother.
That's what I get for posting when I half asleep...
you dont get xp until the creature is dead and it depends on how much damage vs. healing to do.
For example: If you are fighting a creaure that gives you 1000 total xp (just a easy number to calculate that I pulled out of my head) and you do healing for 20% of the time and combat 80% of the time.
your xp gained would be 200 medical
and 800weapon xp(depending on what weapon u use)
10% of the weapon xp will be combat xp so you would get 80 Combat xp. There is a post somewhere that explains it in better detail than i can.
Try doing a search for it.
Hope this helps some.
Oh and BTW you MUST be healing in combat to get xp for it.
