The following is from Tiggs' notes about the latest TC patch.

Test Center Version 0.124139

Fan Fest Fixes!

  • Fixed weapon elemental damage. All weapons with an elemental damage amount should now be correctly doing their elemental damage. (Fan Fest)

  • Altered Lightsaber special abilities animations (Fan Fest)

  • Altered TKA special ability animations (Fan Fest)

Crafting

  • You no longer have to click through the crafting experimentation result dialog. A system message is displayed instead.

  • Ore mining units now come 5 to a crate, instead of 1 to a crate.

Creature Handler:

  • Pets in groups now get their own special "pet" role icon

  • Added role icon for pets.

Droid Engineer:

  • Droids crafted without either a combat module or armor module are level 1.

  • Droids with either combat or armor modules will now increase the level in 5 unit increments up to a maximum of 30.

  • Crafting a droid with combat modules will increase min damage, max damage, to-hit, and give the droid the ability to attack your current target. Combat modules will also add a bit of armor.

  • Crafting a droid with armor modules will increase its general protection armor value at a greater rate than combat modules, and will also increase the droid's defense value. Armor modules will not affect the droid's to-Hit or min and max damage attributes.

  • Players with older droid deeds and pcd's will be fixed retroactively.

GCW

  • Players will no longer be allowed to donate turret deeds to Special Forces facilities.

  • DRX55 and XG mines can once again be purchased from faction recruiters.

  • Removed turrets from PvP bases

  • Fixed LOS bug with cloning terminals *

Jedi:

  • Force Run is now a toggle buff and can be turned on/off at will, it has an initial cost as well as a continual use cost

New Elite MOBs: When using the Loot option on the radial dial to you will need to drag the Trophy into your inventory or use the "Loot All" option on the corpse.

  • Bane back spider with Trophy drop

  • Murra Blanca with Trophy drop

  • Painted Spat with Trophy Drop

New Player Tutorial

  • Fixed some issues with the New Player Entertainer Profession quest and New Player introduction quest. **

Species: Wookiees

  • Wookiees no longer get the clothing selection screen

UI:

  • Elite indicators on mob HAM bars

  • Tweaked the CON colors to make them user friendly for color-blind users

  • Removed level number display for nameplate.

Vehicles / Mounts

  • Fixed bug that was allowing experience to be earned for killing a vehicle

  • Fixed problem where an Avatar would stand up while riding a mount and changing weapons

* I don't know if this will fix the "too far away" bug as well but, considering the two have seemed related, I'm hoping for the best.

** I'm not positive what was changed with the starter quest but there were some things, typos and a script error, that I know were reported.

another thing we will either have to fork over insane amounts of credits or just dream about.

It’s kind of ironic, most entertainers I know love to decorate, yet most of the “cool” decorative quest rewards are out of our reach ….

Btw I’m not whining, just stating the obvious. I’m sure the Devs would say “…. Entertainers were not part of the scope ….”

Beside that, it looks like a pretty good patch for rest of the players.

Its why I got a combat alt. He dies, I decorate

Seriously though yes the game definitely has left any one non-combat far behind in content. A shame since there was such potential for actually breaking the mold and providing significant non-combat content. Unfortunately the devs are gamer geeks usually and can't design outside the FPS they grew up with in most cases.

I've been back to playing my combatter(MDancer/MFencer/4000 TK)a little more the last couple of weeks. So far nothing has been out of my reach. I've only been doing combat when grouped with one friend, however. But if it wasn't for him saying, "come on, come on..let's go kill something", I'd be flourishing away in a cantina. I'm just not likely togo in forsolo combat, so I can't really say that it has cramped my style.

Hang in the Deli'ah. I hope to be out there soon and getting some cool items to give away to my fellow entertainers.

Anyone know if this included a fix to the Newbie Artisan Quest?

Can't wait to see this someday:

Test Center Version ?.???????

Entertainer/Dancer/Musician:

  • Wound healing skill mod is now correctly referred to as "InspirationEfficiency."

  • Dancing/Musical Mind Enhancement skill has been replaced with something that's not an obsolete artifact of pre-CU SWG.

  • Wookiees are now considered the hawtest species in the game (hey, a Wook can dream, right?).

If Esh and Scip push for that really hard, SOE might get it onto TC sometime in September/early October, pull it back again due to unexpected technical difficulties, put it back onto TC in an enhanced form in December, pull it back yet again, then release it to Live without any prior warning with Publish 32 in July 2006.

One word: Soon(tm)

Dream on. Everyone knows that the hawtest species out there are Bothans. You might one day reach 2nd place with a vat full of shampoo, a super-sized titanium hairbrush, 5 pounds of colored hairbands, and a razor applied to certain strategic places of your anatomy. Or people maybe might start to think you're giant poodles instead, I'm not sure what would happen to be honest.

Then, the day after Publish 32, we find this:

"You cannot Start Music while standing."

-WRONG POSTURE-

"You cannot Start Dance while standing."

-WRONG POSTURE-

"You cannot Start Music while sitting."

-WRONG POSTURE-

"You cannot StartDance while sitting."

-WRONG POSTURE-

Because I'm a 1337 h4xx0r I figure out that you can start dancing and playing music in BETWEEN sitting and standing, and then get this message:

"You cannot Skill Animate while Skill Animating."

"You cannot Start Dance while standing."

-WRONG POSTURE-

Wookiees pwn Bothans. It's a scientifically proved fact. It has to do with fur matrices or a roar algorithm or something like that. Also, we give far better hugs.

This mean all we have to do to get the dev's to fix the game is to yell at them in person? Anyone got a copy of the Californa White Pages?

"You cannot Skill Animate while Skill Animating."

OK that one made me literally laugh out loud.

I'm more expecting to see something like this:

"You cannot start dancing without dancing."
"You cannot start dancing while dancing."
