Basically my problem is this..
I am 1/0/0/0 dancer. My goal is to be 4/0/4/0 dancer as that is all the skill pts I will have.
I picked this up just for fun and have no plans on using a macro once i hit 4/0/4/0
I also have no plans on ever performing in a cantina or anywhere else for that matter.
I basically need a simple macro to use while AFK to get myself the exp needed.
I just want it to include poplock 1 and the flourishes and the 3 effects I can use.
I undertsand afk dancing is bad but I will not be doing this in a cantina, just in my personal mall while i'm at work to get the exp needed. So if someone has something simple that will work I would appreciate you posting it here..... Thanks

I will make two comments here.
1. You do not need to use pretty lights or visual effects in your macro. Those have no impact at all on the rate of XP gain.
2. You are highly unlikely to find anyone here who will give you an AFK macro... And no, it's not because we (as a population) generally don't approve of AFK dancing. We don't, but it's also true that we don't do it and most of us never have. As such, for example, I've never needed to set up a routine that kept me AFK dancing or playing music for a long time. I am not being coy here... I really, honestly, do not know how one would go about doing it. I know there is some way to recursively call macros, but I've never found out how because I've never needed to do that. And I know there is a way to maximize your XP gain in terms of which flourishes you do and how to make it all work out just "right", but again, I have no idea how one would even go about doing this because I honestly have never tried. Really... I'm not being mean. I don't know how to write a properly functioning AFK macro.
I suspect most of the people reading this forum are in the same boat I am. We are VERY good at writing macros (or in my case, aliases, which I prefer to macros because I can edit them offline and mix-and-match them). We might be able to give you a macro that lasts 10 minutes or something. But what we mostly haven't done, and therefore mostly don't know HOW to do correctly, is make one that lasts for many hours.
I suspect there are "tricks" to it... I have no idea what they are. I remember a dancer named "Redh" on Naritus one time, in Keren, telling people off for healing her because "I'm trying to get the timings right on this new dance so I can set up my macro" (an AFK macro of course). There clearly was some sort of a trick to how to time it... Those tricks will have changed since then, because action isn't healable or used up the same way. But how one goes about doing it "right"... I don't know, and I bet 99% of the people on this forum don't know.

While this is the appropriate forum to ask regarding information about how to participate in the Dancer profession, you might want to ask in the Game Guides forum regarding how torunthe game on your computer whileAFK.

I only just wrote my first macro...it makes me holler at things that keep comin' at me once they've been rooted, dangit!

You actually play? I've never seen this character anything BUT AFK. LOL I think I've had it on ignore since the first day I saw it as a noob spamming in Theed.

Yes that was me, i used to bark while I was sleeping or at work to get business to my shop. I don't get out of work unitl 4am EST so thats when i play. I haven't spammed in a starport for about 2 months now so take me off your lists, I'm actually a really fun guy!
