...on our server, a friend's cover charge is 69 credits.

Let's put it this way. With a CL 57 toon I can pull down a near 8k mission that doesn't take hardly any time to run out from any major player city. Yet CL 80 folks stop by cantinas and don't tip or tip 2k or something lame like that. When my template was CL 64 I could get 10k by pulling missions two CL over mine.

I had doctor in my template at one time and I can tell you people are cheap and many of them suck on top of that. Do I covercharge? You bet I do. I have set any where from none to 5k-10k, depending on where I am at. That is one flipping mission to a large majority of SWG players, many who have millions.

If you are a doctor I advise you to collect what ever tips/fees you want in advance. It amazesme people in the CL ranges I havenamedfeel like 5k is getting "ganked" for cash.

Oh and btw to the OP, I am not jumping on you. I just didn't want to start another thread of covercharges when I could commentin one that is already up. So this is just how I feel about cover charge and things like doctor services in general.

Yes I put my credit where my mouth is too. I had an image designer just change my hairstyle the other day. Tipped her 15k.

I don't have too much trouble with money so I usually don't use covercharge. When I need money I go get a couple Entertainer Missions, 2200 creds in 15 minutes, probably not the best money but more then enough for what I use it for. And otherwise, I actually do get tipped sometimeswithout using Covercharge!I used it oncehowever, set a 500 cred charge to try and push people into the newbie dancing nearby, it didn't work. They still watched me.

I'll never ever ever charge 5k, that seems waaaay too high, but now that I'm done getting EntHealing exp I'll probably use it alot more. Maybe.

I have millions. It is about principle. No I would not covercharge at all in a cantina with no other available dancers.

Dancers/entertainers complained about cheap people for a long time. They get a tool to deal with slackers then never use it. I am not saying you need to use a cover every where and in all instances. Certainly, on occasion.

"Way too much" is relative. I think a good rule of thumb for things like these is to pay/tip what a single mission would net you as a base. 5k is not "a lot" to CL 57 and up. At least in this users opinion. Again, at CL64 I could pull a mission two levels above my character and net 10k for whacking a few local lizard or such near by.

I think I am worth it. My character is also an outlaw/underworld type, not a starry eyed victim/idealist.

Yes I enjoyed running around healing people for nothing when I had doc. I did not enjoy characters that were at or around CL 80 with millions of gear demanding this and that then leaving without even a thank you.

I do not think people who take other professions for granted and treat them like trash should be able to obtain the same service and consideration as a person who tips and is polite.

To each their own. I do not need any more XP in Dancer, and do not need the credits. This is about something else.

And again to the OP I am discussing cover in general, not your post.
