I usually just lurk around here, but something happened tonight that was really new to me and Im curious if its happening anywhere else .

I'm dancing in my city cantina, like I do every night and a newbie walks in. He told me that he got a quest from a noble that told him to dance for 10 min at the waypoint he set. The waypoint just happened to be at my cantina!?

I know the terminals usually send you across the planet to dance in an NPC cantina/hotel, but Ive never seen this. Since the changes in the new player tutorials have been in for a couple weeks now and this is the first Ive had this happen (3 more have come in for the same mission so far this evening). Im just curious if this is a new or isolated thing?

Either way, I think its great that new players are being sent to player cities instead of just the NPC ones.

I actually had this happen to me when I first started in february of last year.

I stopped getting the quests because there was no one in the cantinas.

NPC Nobles and Entertainers in NPC cities sometimes give quests to player cantinas. My buddy Kobie once found a Rebel NPC in the middle of a field on Talus offering an entertainer quest. I met him out there, accepted the quest and it took us to a player city cantina about 4km away. That's the only time I've come across one that wasn't in an NPC city though.

wow hehe I guess it was just a lucky night Ive been dancing in my cantina for over a year now and never had anyone come in before (at least while I was there). Thankfully, myself and several of my guild were hanging out so at least 3 new players know that all player cities arent deserted!

I also recently had a player come out to our city's cantina. I drove by a few times while I was loading up my vendors with finished goods, then finally went to go see who was most likely afk-macro'ing their way through the profession, in /my/ cantina. In case they were actually there, I iniated conversation, and they answered back. We got to talking, and she told me that the entertainer quest had sent her there. I was absolutely flabbergasted, in a good way.

AFK entertaining gets a permanant ban in my cantina. I ended up tipping her some credits (100k) and giving her a bunch of new dance clothing, I was so excited to see someone out in my desolate area of Tatooine - alive and talking none-the-less.

It also happened to me a long time ago. I got missions from terminals leading me to player cantinas. Indeed, when I started the game, my first ent mission led me to a player cantina. Unofrtunately, this one was set to private so I couldn't enter, letting me somewhat confused about the whole process.

Missions then made me move to places I would have no reason to go otherwise, it was interesting even if I met very few people.

Since, it appears missions are only leading me to hotels, places I really don't like to go because it serves no purpose as people very rarely enters them. So I stopped. Maybe should I check now.

I'd like mission terminals propose me dancing into player owned cantinas (again). It would help me giving me some directions rather than just randomly choosing one to visit. More, staying there 10 minutes to fulfill the mission increase (a little) the chance to meet someone. It's a bit more incentive, to give the place a chance.

i like to work on new routines in the privacy of my cantina, so i go to the entertainer mission terminal by the shuttle in the city i live, keep refreshing until i get two at my cantina. they're always 168m to the NE. i head back in and start working on a new routine and get paid a whopping 2k for it. WOOHOO!!!!!
