So last night I head into the Theed Cantina to heal my husband. Upon entering I quickly see that about 20 or so *entertainers* are AFK. So I declare that the cantina smells odd. I get a few puzzled expressions from some of the nearby patrons and a few even check to see if they are the source of the odor. I then declare that it must be the smell of AFKscum. A brief conversation with a few patrons and even another ATK musician ensued where we decried the hologrind and the decline of the true entertainer experience that used to be common. But it also got me thinking about an entire GCW take off for the Entertainer Civil War. Just imagine the fun we could have if instead of random attacks from Storm Troopers looking for contraband or covert rebels, we had entertainer enforcers who scanned for ATK vs AFK entertainers. Thos found to be AFK would be TEF'd and would be subject to attack from all entertainers until they "declared" themselves ATK by speaking with an entertainer trainer! Then we'd have another reason to equip those handy polearms, swords, and guns......

lol Isaw a stormtrooper come into the cantina and check for rebels for the first time on tuesday. The idea of an NPC similar to this that checks for AFK entertainers is so funny!

There used to be a player on my server who would occassionally wear ST armor who I enjoyed roleplaying the whole GCW with. Unfortunately (or fortunately as the case maybe) he's no longer an Imperial scum but if he were I might try to convince him to occassionaly come into the cantinas and roleplay just such a crackdown. He could even indicate in spatial that he is fining the offending AFKer (though obviously he couldn't really....). Might just have to try to find another player willing to spend a little time helping me have a laugh at the expense of others.
