This is an elite profession taken directly off of Master Entertainer.

The four lines include:

1) Taunt I-IV. This line allows you to learn the various arts of taunting and making fun of the buffbot. At Taunt I, for example, you learn the art of "mimicking." For example, everytime the Buffbot emotes a macro'ed /smile, you are now able to immediately mimic that emote with something such as /emote belches. At Taunt II, you continue your mimic'ing abilities with emotes directed directly at the buffbot. For example, after the buffbot smiles, you are granted several options, not least of which is /emote rips *buffbots* eyes out and shoves them down his/her throat. By the time you reach Taunt IV, you receive the title of "Sarcastic Diva" and are able to spew out a string of obscenities after every buffbot spam.

2) Disabling I-IV. This line allows you to learn the art of disabling the buffbot. At Disabling I, you learn how to auto-invite yourself to the buffbots group. At Disabling II, you become immune to the buffbot's disband feature. By, Disabling III, you are able to assume leadership of any group getting an afk buff. By the time you've reached Disabling IV, you earn the title of "Hostile Takeover Artist" and are able not only trap the buffbot indefinitely, but anyone who joins his/her group, rendering them useless until server reset.

3) TEF'ing I-IV. This line allows you to make the buffbot vulnerable to enemy attack. At TEF'ing I, you are able to make the buffbot appear as a red dot on radar so that everybody knows where the enemy is located. At TEF'ing II, you gain the ability to make the buffbot say, "put me out of my misery, I deserve to die." By TEF'ing III you are able to adequately apply a 15 minute enemy flag to the opposite faction. And, finally at TEF'ing IV, your TEF lasts for four hours, the buffbot is aggro'able by rebels, imperials, and neutrals, and you gain the title of "Witch Hunter."

4) Attacks I-IV. This line gives you various tools in which you, as a dancer or musician are able to apply actual damage to the Buffbot. At Attack I, when the dancer targets the buffbots, dances popular2, and does flourish 1, the kicking motion strikes the genital region of the buffbot, causing 50 points of health wound damage. At Attack 2, the musician is able to swing his or her bandfill around, striking the buffbot in the head, causing 50 points of mind wound damage. By Attack 3, the Musician is able plunge a traz, fizz, kloo horn or any "horn" instrument directly into the heart of the buffbot, thereby causing 300 points of health wound damage. At attack IV, not only do you gain the title of "Hero," but dancers are also able to use the smokebomb effect as a means in which to cripple the buffbot through suffocation, causing 200 points of damage to all 3 HAM bars.

After gaining your requisite 620 apprentice points, you earn the title of Master Buffbot Killer, as well as the ability to /glare at a buffbot, which causes the buffbot to explode. Pieces of buffbot will fly across the Cantina, and your friendly neighborhood buffbot finds himself in the nearest cloning facility.

maybe a little re-thinking but I love the basic premise ^^

shouldn't be directed only at buffbots though.. more generally, every ATK fakey and buffbot is open game in my eyes ^-^

uh, I have two questions:

1. How will the Master Buffbot Killah make money? Do they take money from the Buff Bots? Or do they work off of tips as a service?

2. Will there be Quests?

Hmm at master you should get some sort of "imperial buffbot arrest protocol"... which basically means... a shuttle of about 20 dark troopers gets out of a shuttle that lands near the cantina buff bot is performing, they go in and capture the buff bot, and take the bot to a sick, sad, evil version of the "noob" space station. Where the buffbot will be imprisoned, and any of the buff bots patrons also imprisoned along with them.

Then we make this a quest for everyone else, to go into the space station and rescue the buff bot and the patrons.

Buff bots can gain "visibility". The more people who see them, the more likely they will appear on the "Buffbot Killah" terminals.

Buffbot Killahs make money from taking missions from these terminals. There will be NPC missions too of course. The pretense can simply be that these are dangerous malfunctioning droids posing as living beings, and as such, the Empire wants the threat removed.

Good questions, Panthu. There will be Buffbot Killer Mission terminals, similar to the Bounty Hunter/Jedi terminals. Once a Buffbot begins his/her macro they will automatically be put onto the terminals. Buffbot Killahs will gain various amounts of credits dependent on their skill levels.

As for Quests, there will be several types. Some may include getting a "job" from a "Wise Dancer" or "Wise Musician" located in the back of the major NPC Cantinas. They will give you several types of quests which involve using your skills on NPC buffbots, earning a certain amount of /cheer's and /applaud's from other live entertainers, and earning "Redeemer" points for Redeeming and Reclaiming our venues. There will be a list of "Best Redeemers" and the person earning the most amount of "Redeemer" points on any given date is given a Badge for acts of Courage and Reclamation. It will be the highest honor accorded in the galaxy. For every badge you earn, you can trade it in for your choice among a large selection of uncraftable clothes.

Edit: Looks like Tess and I have similar visions of the Buffbot Killah Missions!

I have a question and a suggestion.
My question is, what abilities are gained at novice Buffbot Killah? Perhaps a limited TEF'ing ability that only allows members of your current group to attack the buffbot and some basic taunting.
My suggestion is, the wounds afflicted should focus more on the action of the buffbot instead of the health and mind. This goes with whan an actual buffbot killah would do in real life.
Great idea .

Ohhh! Ohhh! At which level do you get to train other members of your entertainer group on the buffbot so that they can join in on the fun?!

Panthu -

I don't know about the other servers, but on Bria any Buffbot Killa, of ANY skill level, will never go without credits. Between Kirah, Lei, and I alone, they'd be set for life. THESE guys would get tips like we dream about.

Quests - These would be the first of the player generated quests that everyone wants. "/tell BuffSlayah I have a buffbot here in Theed Cantina and 10,000 credits. Are you interested?"
