OK I'm on my 5th try at this 1st Audition and can't get past the 3 thing the judges want me to do.

Oh and by the way 24 hours is really too much just to try to audition I think, when thats the only real new content I want my dancer to do and then I have to wait 24 hours basically the next day.... sigh....

Anyways. I get to the 3 objection of what they want me to do and its usualyl been a new dance style....so it goes like this...

Do Popular dance...

and I do.

Do flourish 2....

and I do.

DoBasic dance....

and I try...."You can not animate while skill animating"....so I stop dancing and try to do Basic dance and the system message says, "You can not start dacing for 15 seconds" so I wait... 10 seconds goes by...another System message goes by, "Failure".................................................what, what, what!!!?!?!?!?!

So I have to wait longer to change dance routines thenis towait to do the next dance the judges want me to do?

That doesnt make sense?

Please help

Yep, from your error message, it sounds like you've been trying to /startDance basic while already dancing Popular. You need to /changeDance to it.

I have checked here numerous times, and I'm sure I'm just a nitwit, but... is there an FAQ or guide for the Entertainer Quests? If someone could point me in the right direction, and maybe some of the other people asking these questions, it would be so helpful.

Thanks in advance for any help, and I apologize if I'm overlooking the flashing neon sticky that says, "Hey Stupid, click here to read about the Entertainer Quests!"

Is anyone else having trouble getting an audience that knows what dance they want to see? Should I be reporting this as a /bug? I've now failed twice. I polled the entire audience numerous times and the best I was able to get was a "somewhat satisfied" message with one of the dances I randomly chose. I've been assuming that there's a particular dance that will give a "satisfied" message but perhaps I'm just supposed to do the "somewhat satisfying" dance being careful with the flourishes??

Definitely getting frustrated with the lack of audience feedback.

The way that I understand this, there are particular dance(s) and flo(s) that will generate more satisfaction points (which are invisible)than others, and thus push you further up into the satisfaction ratings. It also appears to gain an extra little push by putting in variety... though I've still had no problem personally only doing the requested dances/songs and flos, usually getting into 3 or 4 checks before the performance ends.

Whether or not a given audience member will tell you what one ofthose "good" dances or flos arecomes down to a random roll on a table of possible responses to /conv... after my first dance performance on live though (in which I only got one good dance and one good flo out of the audience), I never received less than 3 good bits of info - one good song/dance, and at least two good flos. The culmination of this was on my final music performance, where I was given 3 good songs, 2 good flos and one bad one. Hard to fail with those kind of odds.

Perhaps I've just been very, very lucky on all of my audience rolls through 4 full series of quests now (twice in Dance on TC, and once each Dance and Music on live). I must have been, because I've seen it for myself while helping friends with the quests, and they just didn't get enough info from the audience, had to guess, and wound up failing. But, it seems to just be that the answer is that you'll either get lucky on the audience roll for info, or get lucky enoughin your dance/flo choices to pull enough rating off a guess of what to dance.

I do think that more frequent Satisfaction rating checks would be helpful (though admittedly, perhaps not helpful enough), since then even without the 'gimme' of getting lots of audience feedback beforehand, we could adjust performance to cater to the ratings, and still have a strong chance of giving them what they want. With more frequent checks, for example, if we were to unwittingly change to a "bad" dance or flo, we'd see the feedback quickly and adjust.... "aha!, that didn't go over well...", that sort of thing, or simulating a sudden audience cheer if we happened upon one of the "good" dances or flos... "and that went over great! Have to work that in a few more times here...". To me, something along those lines would start to give the feel of reading an audience's reaction, and playing up to them onstage... a more realistic, in my opinion, approach than running around before the show (or evenmid-show)chatting everyone up to take requests.

When you perform the dance that they want to see what message do you get? I'm assuming that one of these times I'll get lucky and actually have the audience tell me what darn dance they want to see but just incase I manage to read their minds... Does it say "the audience is satisfied" or ??? I think that would go a long way toward helping me since that's what I've been assuming the message will say. But perhaps the message is "somewhat satisfied" and then when I do the flos they ask for the rating goes up to "the audience is satisfied"?? This reminds me of the first time I ran an entertainer mission. The waypoiint was in front of the hotel and I danced inside the waypoint rather than inside the hotel... DOH. Oh well it gives me something differentto work on for about 3 minutes each night before I get back to trying to get into Jabba's good graces.

If you /conv to all the audience members and none of them names a particular dance, I'd try doing several. That is, /startd with something, do a few quick flos, then /changed to something else, do a few flos, /changed again to something else, etc. And make sure you have some special effects (colored lights, spotlight, smokebomb) on your toolbar to throw in liberally.

By the way - do this buffed, or with a stomach full of accarragm.

As far as the messages, you'll know you're doing something right when the messages keep going "up" in satisfaction level. The FAQ might include a list, but from what I remember it goes something like:

1. Dissatisfied

2. Somewhat dissatisfied

3. Neutral

4. Somewhat satisfied

5. Satisfied

6. Very satisfied

It's a scale, not sure if those are the exact terms.

Good luck!

You must have the same evil-punk audience I had the three times I failed. Absolutely no useful info, but lots of unrelated jabber with few rude comments about my outfit.
But when I finally did pass I did everything they asked for, plus all the dances and flourishes they didn’t mention at all (for a good measure).
I really think the actual trick to the whole thing is just to "get lucky" with audience which will ask for things related to dancing.
If you draw a short straw with lame audience like I did, then only pure luck will help.
It least that’s how I see it.

Good luck
and if you see me on line I be happy to help to cover the audience with /conv so please feel free to shoot me a /tell.

Yeah I even tried changing to a different planet and still the audience seems to be more interested in talking about everything except the dance. I usually have enough time to cycle through about 4 or 5 dances and throw in special effects but the best message I have gotten is "slightly dissatisfied". I plan to take a few people with me incase there's someone short sitting below seat level or something. Perhaps that one person holds the magic "I like this dance message". I sure hope so since they certainly don't like any dance I choose. Maybe if I start spamming "tips and heals appreciated" or "invite me if I am not in a group" I'll get better feedback...
