(and I'm not talking about 'OMG WHERE'S ALL THE COOKIES' crap...I'm talking about valid replies.) There's a reason people in-game tell me they will never post here...it's the elitist attitude you all have that turns everyone off.

Since when is offering cookies not a valid reply? Would you prefer cake?

And I think that you are the elitist. You came here all high and mighty tellingeveryone how to run this forum. If you're that "turned off," you don't have to continue to post here.

Nono, you're missing the point. See, we're posting here to have fun, and you're posting here to bea troll, so it's not so much that we want you gone because you're a jedi, it's that we want you gone because you're a jerk

I'm just curious...other than our completely justifiable hatred of buffbots, how are we unwelcoming?

As to the whole "sticky" issue...I dunno, I think it's kind of silly to argue about. And, if I could get fired for putting up a sticky to add a little fun and amusement to the day, well, I wouldn't want to work for you.

Since it's called posting 'off-topic' and very well would be banned if I bothered reporting it.

If someone asks for help on anything the clique doesn't like...it is removed. For example, someone posts a question regarding using macros and it is instantly deleted. Don't deny it...it happens. The funniest part is that threads asking about macros are deleted, but cookie thread stay...even though cookies have nothing to do with the profession, yet, macros absolutely do, it's just that most of you can't get off your high horses long enough to realize using a macro does not make you an 'OMG BUFFBOTZ0R!!!11' It's funny...I know some of the Entertainers who post in these forums, and they claim to support at the keyboard play, yet, walk by them and you may see the AFK up while going at it...and I know many of you use macros...so I guess you just like to think you're better than the rest.

You want to know how the Entertainer professions were ruined in this game? One half dev incompetency, one half Entertainer attitude. There you go.

I've seen many macro posts that were responded to in a very nice manner. It's really how it's asked. I'm not saying they have to bow down and worship us, obviously. What I am saying though is if there is a whiff of botness in the air, we've had to put up with so much crap ruining our profession for so long, that many of us go on the attack. I admit that is probably the wrong thing to do. I try to avoid the "attack" unless it's obvious that it's a buffbot in training. But, like I said, there are a bunch of other posts that ask for macro help, and they get it.

Really, it's all about how the buffbots and the afk spammers ruined our profession the last two years. If someone comes on here and posts nearly anything else (without being against the EULA), then I'd say this forum is quite welcoming.

This has just been my observation. Perhaps my perception is skewed. But, you know what? It's just human nature that when you've been beaten down so long, right or wrong, you become over defensive. And, that's the reason for the "entertainer attitude" that you may observe. And the blaming the victim mentality, which is basically what you're doing here, doesn't help that attitude.

Truth is, though, it's been a very long time since I've seen any flamewars or any elitist snubbing on any of the entertainer forums. (unless it had to do with buffbots). Since the CU, this place has been pretty damn pleasant, if I do say so myself. There's absolutely no reason that people should be too scared to post here. (unless they are a buffbot).

Yes. I play the toughest profession in the game.

Jedi is easy by comparison.

This made me giggle. Irony at its finest.

Oh of course we'd never tell it to your face that you are inferior.

You missed what I meant. I was referring to the fact that that right after I said you had an elitist attitude, you proved it with the 'we're better than Jedi' comment. Rather funny.

I never said you were inferior...you really have a problem reading. I have had a dancer forever...I know it is rough and I know the crap that has gone on, and entertainers in general have always gotten the short end of the stick. But to sit there and say 'we're better than Jedi' is just silly.

Well if we are going to be accused of it, dear, we might as well live up to the expectation.

We are better than many jedi. I don't think they have the skills, patience, or ability that we do.

So I meant my comment in all honesty. And if it seems crazy to you, dear, then I suggest you leave before you become bonkers yourself.

Funny as it sounds, bots are the only thing that would happen to save the Entertainer professions right now. All of this new junk that is being implemented, well..it's just that, junk. I really fail to see how props are going to make Entertainers more appreciated in this game, which is what needs to happen. You really want to sit around and make toy squirt guns all do? I for one, on my dancer at least, would like to have a chance to interact with the rest of the community and add to the game. Whether that be with helping out in the GCW(contrary to what the Devs or any others think, they SHOULD be a part of the GCW), helping my friends level somehow, or just making someone feel better, that is the whole point of the Entertainer professions. What they are morphing into, based solely on Developer notes and what the 'group' in here posts is definitely ANYTHING but that...you guys are excluding your own profession from the game with your hatred for people who have a buff bot. I never said I like buff bots, in fact, I think it's terrible, BUT...it at least made us useful. They mentioned adding in 'non-combat' buffs...this is rather silly. Non-combat players really aren't going to need any additional buffs as far as I can tell. Inspiration affects the crafting which is most of what non-combat is...why not just tweak that? And this whole 'we don't want to force interaction' thing..../sigh. How can anyone agree with that? I would rather be useful to players by forcing some sort of buffing or healing than sit away in a cantina that no one will visit because they got bored of seeing my toy guns I crafted after the first week.

Want to make the profession useful again? Make new buffs. Replace that wound healing line with specific buffs such as melee accuracy, ranged accuracy, etc. As you progress up that line, you receive new buffs that help these skills in some way...the higher up you go, the more different kinds of buffs you have access to and the better they are. This also facilities further interaction with players. A person comes in, asks for a specific buff, and then the entertainer has to manually do something to give that specific buff. GUESS WHAT...you just solved the buff bot issue. An AFK player really can not use a menu or type characters in to select specific buffs. So in one fell swoop, you have just made Entertainers in totality more useful, increased community interaction, and removed buff bots. But...instead...most people in here seem to want props..../boggle

Anyway, the point was the way to get to that would have been to answer those kinds of questions and not just give them 'you're a buff bot, we're better than you' attitude. You have to accept at some time, that AFK playing was in this game. Yes it sucks, but turning your nose to people who do it, even for a moment, is ruining your own profession. You can say that macro questions were answered nicely, but to put it simply, that is the very reason many did not want to post here, because they were afraid of being ripped into because they mentioned the word 'macro.' The biggest problem is that so many people want to hate anyone who ever goes AFK, when I've seen them do it with my own eyes. What went on here was totally opposite of what should have happened...instead of yelling at buff bots so much andwanting to hate each and every person who did it, you could haveproposed better things besides props(/cringe) like the buffs I mentioned before. We allcould have lobbied around ideas like that.

I've just always noticed a group here that essentially dominates what gets said around here and what does not, what gets passed along to the devs(even though its from a small minority of players) and what does not. This forum is so counter-productive to helping people that at times, it seems a better idea to go in-game and try to search up a live entertainer(nearly impossible) to ask for something as simple as learning what /bandflo does, timing, etc. It's just an observation I'vehadover the year or so that these sentiments and problems have become more noticeable.

Anyhow, I'm getting off-subject now. I just wanted to clarify that I do talk to people who say they don't want to post here because of the attitude (and these are fellow entertainers), and the mis-directed hate that gets tossed around is not helpful at all to all entertainers.

At the very least, you guys should thank me for a 4-page thread. This place is undoubtedly very slow sometimes...I brought life, if nothing else

Super chunky chocolate chip, btw.
