I'm not bitter about dancing. I love dancing and I love the people who danced with me. The reason I'm glad to see the back of the dancing profession is that it held me back from enjoying the game as much as I am now,and held me back fromgaining money because the customers in the towns where I liked to dance were (are) rudeskinflints who don't want to converse andwon't even thank you for heals or pay you, no matter how fast you heal them, no matter what kind of show you do for them, and no matter how willing you are to talk to them. 90% of my customers in Mos Entha (where I was often the only entertainer) came in, immediately went AFK, and 15 minutes later left without a word of thanks (or a tip). The customers used the cantina as a convenient place to park their avatar while they spent timein the real world making themselves a sandwich, browsing the net for porn, or watching a sitcom. Most couldn't care two bits that there was someone there working to heal them. THAT'S why I'm bitter. It's not the dancing, or even the AFKers - it's the ingrates who routinelycame into the cantina expectingme to give themsomething for nothing - and the fact that since I had no control over my abilities, I couldn't stop them from stealing from me.

Combat is no longer compulsory.

Mos Entha has the best cantina, and the worst clientele in the game - at least on Tempest. That's my opinion anyway.

Well, I have the luck to dance in a cantina where most people talk with you, tip you or just say thanks because most know that I am out hunting with my dear pets, so I am not depending on tips. A little thank you is mostly enough for me (although I don't mind tips).

And some of us do use stuff to boost their action (Tatoiine Sunburns are a great boost with no bad side effects and it keeps me dancing for quite awhile with lots of flourish)
