Good feedback from Ahazi as well. Even the legendary forum trolls there (and yes, they take great pride in that
) love the Wook.

Now that I have more time:
APA69 wrote:
I will continue to pay my monthly fee and I will continue to log on until. . . who knows when?
But not everyone will. The Guild I joined in beta, Fatal X'Ceptions, was started as an entertainer guild. Used to be, we could fill out a band on every instrument, every night, without even trying. Seriously. I thought that was normal, for ages.
Nowadays (as in 2004, any month of 2004), I only see a full band on Cantina Crawls. And I may well be damned near the only Master Musician left in FX (if I'm wrong about that, I will endlessly apologize to whomever I've slighted). The game used to be so much more colorful and lively in the cantinas. But I guess others got bored. And I can't blame them at all.
But how much more fun could it be for people like me, who don't like risking death for thrills? How much more interesting could it be for OTHER players, if some epic-level items, abilities, or buffs were cast our way? What if our instruments could be experimented up for extra-effectiveness? And how much MORE like a Star Wars movie would it be if you almost always met interesting, colorful people in cantinas when you went in hurting? Wouldn't that make the world better for everyone?
So many excellent points. Although you will continue to pay and logon there are thousands who have already stopped. In our guild alone how many have we lost this year alone? I mean, really. It's countless. Almost all due to these professions let-downs too.
As a part of Fatal 'Xceptions <FX> I was once in the cantina performing to my heart's content with my friends. In fact, I would go as far as to say our guild reflects exactly what the enterainer professions once were and are today.
At first we filled the cantina in Tyrena every single day and that cantina always hadat least oneFX entertainer in it, but usually many more. And I mean always, at any time of night or dayand non-AFK.
But then time passed and slowly FXers were found wanting for entertainment from the game. As entertainers we are required to find our own content in one place - a cantina. The fact is, there just isn't much to do at all in a cantina. And as far as joining hunting groups, no one wants entertainers with them these days. They just aren't as much use as they are a worry on the road.
Slowly, over timethe entertainer guild of FX that boasted over 100 entertainers was full of unhappy dancers and musicians. Many looked towards the way of the gun and sword for many reasons. Money, content, an escape from the droll of the cantina. And I went with them.
And it's sad. It's sad because those that entertain are probably the most friendly people in the game. It's sad because so little is given to those that give so much. It's sad because someone AFK can macrotain as good, if not better, than someone thatchooses to press the buttons and truly "entertain". And it's sad that all these great entertainers are being forced to choose between something they lovebut are frustrated with and something that actually gets the programming attention of developers.
Thanks, Javier and everyone who helped him. Thanks for reminding us why we're all here and that there are still people who care about this profession. Hopefully some day we will see the return of the entertainer professions and full bands will be seen again on a normal basis - without yelling for heals and tips on a macro.

I finally gave up trying to download it myself and asked my husband for help.
Now that I’ve seen the video I have you say it’s unbelievable.
Very bittersweet and to the point.
Javier, you really did incredible job.
Ever since I’ve seen it I’ve been in pretty nostalgic mood.

Awesome video, Jav.
Thanks for reminding me why I won't tip dancers/musicians marked AFK and only watch them when no live entertainers are available.
Hopefully since JTL is creating a mind wound/battle fatigue epidemic, more people will see that it's worth their time to be there for the people who need real entertainers.

Just thought you should know it's having an effect.
It's kind of a good feeling when a pure combat players says "Wow.. I had no idea. I feel sorry for you."
Finally they begin to understand...

Too bad Javy says he's unavailable for Episode 3. I saw the Episode 3 trailer, and while it looked fun, it lacked the touch of the master.
