Thread: Mistress of Lightsabers, Mistress of the Dance
DOH! You beat me to it, LOL.
I was a Master Defender, Master Musician up until 2 days ago. You cannot believe the number of invites I got at the cantina from combat groups because I was CL80. I'm now a 0014 Dancer, opened my own cantina the same day I got Novice Dancer.
I'm planning on mastering Dancer then becoming the first ever CL80 Master Image Designer. I can get Master ID, Master Defender, and 0402 Lightsaber. How do you think a BH will feel getting cut down by someone with the Master ID tag?

I was just wondering that, does the saber ignite while dancing and stay on or what? If it does I might be tempted to pick up a lil dancer myself

I know that to many of you that's a waste of skill points. And I know I could be much more effective in combat than I am now, but as a role player, all I have to say is that's why I have a completed goal, while you have a string of unfinished characters.

That was uncalled for
Sad to see you wanted to become Jedi to have "Lightsaber" prop. Thought you actually wanted to be and act like a "Roleplayer" Jedi.
*AHEM* Look at my sig. My character is NOT a Jedi. She is a force Adept. Lemme post you a lil secret as you have offended me...
This is the writeup for the character I have been playing in the tabletop RPG for almost ten years, since it was the old West End games version (we went back and RPd in the ep1 and 2 time period after the movies came out). This is the characterI wanted to play origionally, which was why I made Ihareo.
Aside from that, as far as I know, no one else has managed to dance with an ignited saber, so there's another precident.
Also, if you'd bother to read the thread you will read that I do NOT dance with my saber, these shots were taken in private.
So if you think I went through 2 years of blood sweat and tears in this game over a glowy prop, you can bite my bio engineered hide, fan boi!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It all began in the late seasons of the old Republic. An old, bitter witch, fleeing Jedi persuers, smuggled herself her assistant and one helples captive, a padawan girl near her trials of knighthood, to the grave world of Necropolis. After searching for weeks, she found amongst the vast cities of the dead a mausolium that would be safe from prying eyes and her hunters alike. There she and her seconed studied the records of who and what was entomed on the planet they now called home.
Once all preperations were made, and all desired remains gathered, the old woman summoned up the same dark arts that had called the Jedi down upon her to begin the arcane process by which she intended to give herslef an heir.
Utilising the best of bio-organis technology, and the cell warping powers of the Dark side, the old witch melded and constructed what she believed to be a perfect blend of her own DNA and that of long dead heros. Once the symphony of dark arcana was completed, she thrust the newly crafted embryo into the belly of her captive, her own having been long since ravaged by the price she payed for her power.
Once finished, the exhausted old witch collapsed down onto the table. Siezing her moment, the captive padawan girl seized her Lightsaber from the nearby shelf and stuck at the old woman desperately, only to have her blow knocked aside by the Witched own Saber. Shocked and frightened, the girl stagered backwards to catch her bearing and find a moment to focus. After but a moment, the old witch and the wounded Padawan clashed in the laboratory as flashes of red and green lit the windows of the dark cold night.
After an eternety of conflict cascaded through the halls of the laboratory, the young padawan emerged in pyrric victory. Fearing for her life and the new life inside her, she gathered what supplies she could and scrambled out into the sprawling grave city before the Witch's assistant could return from his duties.
Sencing no way to leave Necropolis, and having no way to communicate with the outside, the girl settled into a life of fleeing and feral survival, almost losing herself to the same dark urges that gave the old one her powers.
All of that changed the first time she senced the new life's first dreams. Having no training in these matters, and not knowing anything about the buisness of motherhood, the young womanwould have missed the first motes of budding sentience, but for the feeling in her heart. Confused, afraid and tearfully joyfull, the Padawan cesed to think of the new life as a profane thing, and began to see it as her own baby daughter. From that day onward the Young woman stayed in near constant mental contact with her baby girl, teaching and singing to the young one and forgoing the tranquil and emotionally inert teachings of the Jedi, till all but the core of the darkness had been replaced by love and light. Even the pain and fear of giving birth alone did nothing to disuade the young woman from her love of her daughter and once born, even the alien felinesque appearance of the baby was as natural as the stars in the sky. And, in the fulness of time, the Woman named the baby Jydra Two-Mothers.
Jydra's chldhood was eventfull, if unoethodox. When most children were learnning to walk, Jydra was learning to leap. Where most children learned numbers and letters, Jydra learned the song of the force. All would have been well if not for the fatefull return of the old Witch's assistant.
He came upon Jydra and her Mother's camp during the day while the two were gathering boneworms for their dinner, and laid in wait. When the Mother and Daughter returned, he was there with a carefully preparred ambush. Unpreppared and fully encumbered with a basket of food, Jydra's birth Mother was no match for his ferocity. The battle was short and horrible, after which, the assistant took the the young and frightened Jydra back to that dark and dank laboratory.
Jydra spent her years growing to womanhood under the wing of the assistant, learning from the data crystals and from the mouth of her new 'father'. He trained her as best he could, having no ability within the force himself, however he pushed her on and on, to newer and higher hights of exellence despite her growing exhaustion.
Still, at ight, when he was asleep in his Tomb, Jydra would sneak out and sing to the stars, and dance the dance of the force as she and her birth Mother had done for so long...
In time Jydra grew to womanhood, and alwase she kept the her mothers with her in the form of their lightsabers. Not only in sentiment, but to defend herself from the dangers of Necropolis. Her story would have ended there on that rock if not for the machinations of fate.
In the high afternoon of the hot summer, a smuggler and pirate calling himself Lash Benver crash landed on the planet amongst the ruined buildings. Jydra, having witnessed his crash anding, aided him and nursed him back to health, and even helped repair his ship, all without the knowlage of her 'father'. The smuggler repaid her with storied of the Republic, the taxation of the trade federation's trade routes and the rich smuggling opportunities that had arisen from the blockade of some insignifigant planet.
Jydra was instantly fascinated and when he was ready to leave, she begged him to take her with him. He readily agreed and as soon as Jydra had gathered her things, they were off. Almost imediately upon landing on one of the pirate tibana mining cities of Bespin, Lash collared Jydra and sold her for enough money to repair his ship completely and take off once again.
Jydra found slave life appealing when compared to her previous life, all the attention and decorations lavished on her gave her a taste for the high life, and keeping her abilities a secret kept her hidden from the Jedi, who she feared above all else. When she got bored with an owner, he would have an inexplicable losing streak untill he had no choice but to sell her to the highest bidder (which Jydra alwase made sure the bidding was high enough to repay her last owner for his kindness to her), and she would be off to yet another new life.
All that changed the day she met Vincent di Sipria. Vincent was an erstwhile noble from the greener side of Ord Mandell out amongst the stars to make his fame and fortune. One look into her emerald eyes, and he had to have her. One look into his ice blue eyes and she had to be with him. Once unusually well played game of sabacc made certain of that.
As it turned out, Vincent was attatched to a group of covert specialists on a mission for recently elected supreme chancellor Palpatine, so it was only a matter of time before Jydra was whisked away off of Bespin and into the galaxy for fame and fortune of her own.
The next ten years were a blurr to Jydra, having been freed, married to Vincent, and having 'aquired' a trade federation droid ship that she had converted into a travelling luxery space station called "Tellurian". Her life of luxury and loyalty to the supreme Chancellor earned her a vast fortune and the status of "soverign world" for her space station home.
She was free at last.
Then began the clone wars. Her luxery space station became a battle station/refugee camp in no time, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine ordering her to accept a batallion of clone troopers for the station's own protection. The clone wars were a brutal haze of combat to Jydra. Sprawling space battles and ground combat alongside Jedi alike. Her fear of the Jedi was soon put to rest as the Jedi seemed to know nothing of the fate of her birth Mother, or her background. Any questions as to her training and the origins of her sabers were quickly silenced by Palpatines interfearence and soon they Jedi lost the luxery of investigating a the clone war raged on and on and on.
The end of the clone war and the ascention of the empire destroyd Jydra's carefully built life. Her station was siezed and she herself declared a second class citizen again for the crime of being abhuman. The Jedi purge forced her to flee in fear of being mistakef for Jedi. Her life became one of fleeing again, spending the next years running from one system ot another and supporting the rebel cause in any way she could without revealing herself. But the bigest shock to her was the realization that her Husband, Vincent , who bore the burden of convistion of marrying an abhuman, was aging as humans do, while she herself was not....

Huge hugs/grats/whateveryouwant though for doiig something fun instead of being the 'best' ;p
I'm sorry, I must have missed that question...
Yah I had to have somone help me by deuling me. Here's the process I used:
!) Accepted deul
2) Started Dancing
3) set up timing, IE: attack me in five seconds.
4) He'd attack me once then run.
4)RIGHT BEFORE he attacked me I hit the fourish. My saber ignited and stayed that way through the whole flourish, after which it sheathed.
Things to remember:
You CANNOT flourissh while in combat. If it doesn't work the first time, you have to stop dancing completely and start over. You'll still be dancing in animation, but your character won't be dancing according to the server.
Remember to turn off the chat bubbles or the timing dialogue will interfere with your screenshot.
Accept that a BH is on his way by the time you're done lol.
While this CAN be done as a Jedi initiate, I waited till I was a Master lightsaber/Master Dancer. This was my victory party. It was much more satisfying that way.
