"One question, does it still have that ugly back skip step? If so then count me out! It would be worth getting theatrical2 to eliminate that step, but if not then its not worth the effort."
Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it too much. The rest of us don't see that awkward back skip step.

I just acquired the theatrical2 dance. To get it, you only need to acquire only 100k of dancing experience dancing theatrical dance. I decided to test how much was required. When I started, I had 320k dancing experience. Now I had danced this a bit and figured maybe 3k tops in experience already. I went to Cnet and was able to get in a full to almost full group and acquired just over 90k and decided to call it a night. Next morning, I did my morning melee grind and headed to the hospital to dance while I slowly heal. This evening, I decided to do a little melee and after some poison figure to head to the hospital to dance. During the dane I recieved a pop-up message that I have acquire the experience for a new dance step. I checked my dancing experience and I was at 418k. It will cost you 400k of dancing experience to get.

As I understand it, the "300k any xp" can be existing xp. So if you have 900k, spend 400k, then dance theatrical for 100k, you'll have 600k and can get theatrical2.

Wait, now I'm confused....
If I already have the 300k xp from other dances, don't I just have to do theatrical for about 100k and I can get it? Are you saying that even if I already have xp, I still have to dance 300k worth to use the 100k of theatrical that I got?
i.e. When I got theatrical, I was close to cap on dance xp (about 850k). After spending the 400k xp to learn theatrical, that left me with 450k. WhenI read this thread yesterday, I switched to theatrical and have been doing nothing but. I was around 580k when I started this. This morning I was at 650k or so. SOOO.... when I finish getting the 100k of theatrical xp, will I still have to dance 150k of regular xp or can I just go get theatrical2?
If this is so, how are we supposed to use our xp if we cap it first? I'm not going jedi and I don't have the ap points to give up master and relearn everything....

thanks for clarifying that. I am sure I am getting quite close to that now 
And I too flourish a lot. It helps cover that backtep I dislike so much.

You can just go and get theatrical2. You only need to get 100k of dancing exp with theatrical. Once you get the pop-up message you can go an purchase theatrical2 as long as you have at least 400k of dancing exp.
I have begun dancing theatrical2 on and off and will post if there is a pop-up message for this dance after acquiring so much dancing exp. 20 dancing exp is what I get with my first flourish ungroup and with no one watching.

Point is, if you got theatrical and again limited your 900K xp, how to spend it. No problem for force-sensitives but rest might think of that.

Woot! I got it this morning. I think for me it was about 125k xp though. I'm not sure because we had a server reset yesterday and some rollback. Yes, it is a new base dance only, but I'm happy to have it for future use.

Hmmm...
Now what happens if you already have like 850K dance experience and maybe 1K theatrical experience and you find this out? (my situation). I can't get 100K theatrical now because I will cap out. Does this now mean I have to drop master dancer and a line of dance and then get retrained so that I can gain xp again?
And, second...has anyone tried to see if there were other dances after theatrical2? I heard some people say that they saw files or something for other dances in downloads or something...

Right now I am dancing theatrical2 to see how much xp is needed to get the pop-up window and then I will head to the choreographer and see what happens next.

Worst case you can drop master and a box of knowledge or technique to eat up some dance xp. I'm trying an experiment to see if capped xp matters though or if the calculation is done before the capping (As with combat xp calculations).
