^o^ NP, my bad in misunderstanding. No worries here!
Like if i knew you...i may be inclined to ask you for a private dance. however, i'd be very respectful of you and i'd only really ask if i had a "feeling" that you'd be open to the prospect. But going to some random dancer and asking for one and being rude about it...thats just not right.Though, if it IS done in a respectful manner, i am not sure if its wrong to ask a dancer you do not know for a private dance. if you are not rude about it, i would think it would be acceptable as dancers are performers...however, expecting extra favors...thats a different thread lol.
^o^ Well what would you consider respectful? You have an interesting view on the role of dancer, would you care to elaborate? ^o^
whats your IG name?
J/K LOL.I consider respectful to ask nicely as not to offend.
"Would you be interested in giving me a private dance? If that is not something you are into, then I understand and please, I hope you are not offended for me asking."
something to that effect. however this would be after i chatted a bit with you and won you over (well maybe not the 2nd part but at least the 1st)
/curtsey IG name is Faedra as well. I am on Eclipse.
Ok, so I am not too far off the mark. I was flagged as I was walking into the cantina, barely having time to select my dance, it wasn't... rude, but it did come across as offensive and... creepy. Probably didn't help that after I said "Afraid not" he proceeded to stand there and /watch hehe.
Whereas I have been /tell'd for a "Lap Dance" from a patron who had been there a few minutes chatting with me and another dancer, the initial ice break made it seem less weird, still said no, BUT I didn't feel like running out of the cantina, hopping on my bark and heading straight to the middle of the desert, after donning the closest thing to a nun's habit I could find on the bazaar.
There was another post like this buried in this forum. My favorite response from that one was sending a tell.
"dude, stop. you're giving me wood"

Actually never; might have something to do with the idea of "private dancing" not being as popular in Europe than in US. I've have been invited to dance on private parties a couple of times, but usually they meant just that.
Another part of the reason may be that I prefer to dance in familiar environments - not nescessarily the most busy place on server. Another part of the reason may be now, after CU, the CL 59 besides my name.
But even if I was I wouldn't be angry about it. The atmosphere of cantinas, typical entertainer outfits, the private level of intereaction (that never would occur with a dancer irl) encourage this kinda misunderstanding - part of a dancers job is to avoid those. One must always choose wisely what you say and always keep a distance that you wouldn't under different circumstances.
If someone is still ignorant enough, well I am entertainer. They may watch as I am or let it be, but that's all they'll ever get. I take satisfaction from having people entertained - especially when I loath them, because it shows that I can still manipulate them. At least to some extend. They I'll still be loathsome.
And if people get too annoying I still have my ways to deal with it. They may find they are not being welcome in a lot of places. No reason to lose my temper because of something like this.
Same as getting targeted repeatedly with /kiss or /hug emotes.
I put on my ubese helmet, and emoted:
: laughs to herself as the stupid male slobbers over the Rancorspittledripping breathing-slit of her helmet.
