Dancer Archive
Thread: What's your template?
On my main account, my entertainers are:
- Chilastra - Master Dancer, Master Musician, Novice Fencer (padded armor addiction), 4444 Entertainer, 4000 Senses
- Bria - Same as Chilastra but without Heightened Senses
- Tempest - Quad Master Entertainer
- Starsider - Masters in Dancer, Musician and Entertainer
- Ahazi - Master Dancer
Last night on Bloodfin, I respec'd my Dancer/Fencer to BH/rifle so I can participate in a guildwar (ie: live in the cloner for the next week).I'm sure she'll be back to dancing before long. Other dancer/combat hybrids I've played were MDancer with TKM and MSmuggler but I think I like Dancer/Fencer best. The above listed novice Fencers are only in it for the pretty boots and gloves.
Thank you to everybody that has responded so far!
I am being very surprised by the results!
Up until...I dunno...a couple weeks ago, I was always entertainer/combat.
For over a year and a half, I was a master dancer/TKM. After CU, I respec'ed to Master Dancer/Master Pistoleer.
Right now, I'm going through a transition, and I know where I want to end up, I think. So, right now is not indicative of what I usually am:
Master Dancer
Master Entertainer
Image Design 4/0/0/0
Musician 0/0/4/0
Novice Pistoleer
Except for the past couple of weeks and when I first started out and hadn't yet finished template, I have always been half entertainer and half combat.
I think because I like playing a "hybrid," that's what most of my CU hatred stems from. It's all about the levels. I hate being gimped because I don't have all my sp in combat. ![]()

But the CU nerfed melee in a major way, and since I enjoy solo-ing (which is hard enough as a lvl 54 in this new world) I saw myself forced to respec into Master Rifles (BAH! I hate FOTM templates...
That still makes me only into a level 54 though, although one with /covershot and /snipershot. And that still isn't a lot of help in most situations like quests and such unless I'm grouped with higher-level chars. So now I'm considering using my token respec to change for a crafting profession, maybe shipwright. Especially since I have an alt account now and can take that one up to lvl 80.
Pre-CU: Master Musician/Master Entertainer/Master Dancer/Marksman 0031/Medic 2000
Post-CU: Music 0030/Master Entertainer/Dancer 0040/Master Carbineer/Pistoleer 0002

Seems that for some reason ranged combat is indeed more popular among dancers than close combat. In particular there seem to be quit a lot of pistoliers.
Suprises me a little, would have thought that close combat would be more popular among our kind. So affraid to get in touch with the enemy?

Oh, by the way, my mix Master Dancer, Master Fencer, Brawler 4440, Swordsman 0022. The latter gives me a quite decent bonus to accuracy and defenses, plus armor break and sword flurry. This makes it far better than master brawler which would give me more speed, but a little less on anything else. My combat level is 59, which is the max for a master dancer.
Bria - Master Dancer
Chimaera - Master Dancer/MID/Some tailor
TC - Master Dancer/MID/Ment/nearly MMusician
My ent chars tend to be non-combat. I leave the combat to alt chars

I used to be Master Dancer and TKM on Ittapi pre-cu but when I realised that TKM with a CL of 56 wasn't too much fun for me I make Ittapi a MBH and Master Pistols (as I didn't like TKM post CU either).
My alt Nettape though does have the techniques tree of dancer still. I'm keeping her respec token as I'm toying with the idea of dropping master merchant and going dancer or id.
