Reach, this is why I have my star rating disabled. I have no idea how many stars my posts get, nor do I care. I really think it would be for the greater good if the silly system was done away with. It's meaningless in it's inanity. Maybe you'd be better off not knowing, also.

Kirah, I like the star rating system.... the only problem with it, in my mind, is that the majority of intelligent people do not use it. I think of you as an intelligent person, and I often five-star you.

This is not to imply that I think you or people that share your opinion about the star rating system "do nothing," but we all can do a little more including myself.
I visited the EQ2 forums for quite awhile when they opened, and I was highly delighted to find out that the star rating system there seems to be used to its fullest extent... that is intelligent and positive posts often have high star ratings whereas threads that I saw as "not so intelligent" and negative most often had low star ratings.
Rest assure that instigators most likely have the star ratings system active and actively pass out one-stars. I see it as my responsibility to the community (even besides my position as a Correspondent) to at least cancel out those one-stars so the poster in question might be encouraged to post more often.

Don't worry about it too much LeBob. Reachwind only ever makes brash generalizations, that's why he's mostly ignored.

I go on vacation for a week and come back to news of Panthu retiring? That stinks!! 
I did put in my application. I'm not on one of the huge servers so probably not as well known but I do what I can for my Kauri entertainers and don't think I'd be too awful bad.
