I think we could do with a bit more "Solid Gold Dancers Online" type of content - we all enjoy performing and are attracted to the show biz theme, that's why the majority of us RP grand dancers rather than "cantina rats." Frankly, the majority of requests in here have always been more in line with this theme than anything else among the regulars.
I personally would love to be invited into the larger areas of the game (GCW, BH vs Jedi, Smuggler, etc) as an actual participant. The only widely accepted way to do that is through an Informant or Spy role, which I am 100% on board with. I don't think that needs to be considered mutually exclusive to pure social enhancements though, no reason why we can't ask for both.
There is also absolutely no reason why other non-Ents couldn't be invited into any Social Game style content that is created for us as much as they could something more traditional. I'm all for the blending of the masses, I just think we need some more fun activities engineered with fun Social play as the primary goal.
My only point is, we can't look at it as if this was a normal "RPG balanced" role because the Devshave shown no interest in that for us ever. We have to become comfortable with their terms and work from there if we hope to actually get the things we ask for - otherwise, we are just wasting time and energy posting here.
